But he can be deleted whenever. Just listen whenever he's on the Jim Rome Show (radio) if you dont believe me. He's around to bring in the black audience and I understand that. I just dont need to hear him pat himself on the back so much. Other black talking heads on ESPN dont take that approach...Greg Anthony, Tom Jackson, Wilbon...
You know, in my opinion, I believe that your above statement holds some truth within the realm of personal opinion in the virtual world among people I've never met in reality but consider to have a certain byte-related kinship.

In other words, you're spot-on, man.

Smith is to Sports and Black people, what Carlos Mencia is to Latinos and Comedy. They both found their niche and exploit it shamelessly. They both annoy me, come up with something original.

Add Jeff Foxworthy and middle- to lower-class rural people to that list. His schtick became old after about 15 minutes.

At least Larry the Cable Guy has some comic talent. The guy's stand-up act in clubs -- not sanitized for TV -- is pretty funny.

Actually, if you're writing a column or editorial (which basically every post on a messageboard is) you do not have to write "In my opinion..." because it is assumed that everything you write (unless otherwise stated or cited) is your opinion. The same holds true for essays one writes in high school, college, whatever.

PK I don't always agree with your posts/ideas/thoughts, but I love how you come off as a smartass while still bringing sensibility into a discussion.

SAS act has just grown old. It seems like he could have been taped once and every time they wanted him on a show they could just play the same recording. I really wonder how he got a job in the first place. He is too obnoxious for me to take him seriously.

Hey man. PK is a respected journalist. My Irish brother from another mother has spent years as a writer for the IRL and now pimps for one of the greatest tracks in the world. INDY!!

Paul. Sorry bro,I had to let the lug nuts out of the bag.

Back on topic. I think SAS is the Al Sharpton of sports. I think that comment speaks for itself quite frankly.

                    Re: quite frankly

I think that Stephen A. Smith's personality sticks out a little bit more than a Greg Anthony or a David Aldridge, and in not-too-big doses I think is perfectly tolerable.

I see nothing wrong with a few guys like Stephen A. to balance out the act of the not-so-obnoxious analysts on the set.

Now, you couldn't have 3 obnoxious guys on the same set, for example, Michael Irvin and Stephen A. together would be a bit much even for me. But I think Stephen A. is great at what he does and certainly pk500, as far as that race thing, he doesn't stick out as that type, at least to me, as much as someone like Jason Whitlock.

Whitlock is much worse in that regard, I agree.

I was a journalist, brother. Was! Now I'm in PR. Thirteen years ago I made the transition from kicking azz (journalism) to kissing azz (PR). Better hours, a better life, less stress and more dough in PR!
