Blockbuster Online
I just signed up for the free trial. Can the 1 free rental per week be used for games? Bueller? Bueller?

Re: Blockbuster Online
As far as I know the 1 rental per week can't. However, if they still have the option for 2 rentals per month then those do count for games (at least they did last time I thought about signing up again). I did have it for quite a while with 2 rentals a month and I used them for games--it was great.Comment

Re: Blockbuster Online
the free rental coupon each week is only for movies. there is an online progam that gives 2 coupons each month and can be used for games.

Re: Blockbuster Online
My local Blockbuster won't allow using the free rental on a game. I've had Blockbuster for almost 2 years now. They used to allow you to use the free one on a game but they changed that earlier this year. Also I changed my free rentals to 1 per week, it used to be 2 per month but they could be used together, you have the option of 2 per month or 1 per week.Last edited by TexasJedi; 08-13-2006, 07:11 PM.Comment

Re: Blockbuster Online
Originally posted by KelverinSuck? Hardly. I have the 3 at a time plan ($17.99) and it works great for me. Watch 1 movie a day than return it for 3 days, by the time I have finished all 3 rentals the new movie (#4) is usually in my mail box. Not only that but the coupon (2 free rentals per month, can be used for games or movies) If I liked a game title I would never have to pay for it. Rent it for two weeks free, rent it again for two weeks and so on until finished. Unfortunately, if I like a game I have to own it.
I agree---I don't see how $17.99 a month for unlimited 3 out a time with 2 video game rentals a month sucks. I had that same plan and loved it. I think video game rentals run $6-$7 each so if you use both of those every month there's $12-$14 value right there! Personally, I really liked that plan and when I go back to them I'll get that one.Comment

Re: Blockbuster Online
Originally posted by ODoggthat's because they did away with that option. it says that in their faq they sent when they changed to the 1 free rental a week but no games. it said that if you had the old option and changed you could not change back as the $17.99 for 3 out at a time with 2 free rentals a month, game or movie, was only available for people who had it the old way and never changed it, new customers and customers who switch plans no longer get that choice.Comment

Re: Blockbuster Online
There might be a new promotion regarding the online program. I don't know exact details, but it's something about bringing in your online rental to the store. The store will then mail it back for you, and you get a free in store rental for doing so.
I have no idea whether this is going to happen or not, but the things I heard lead me to believe that they might start testing this out.Comment
