Hooking up Surround Sound to ComputerI was wondering if anyone could tell me if this was possible. I have a 5.1 JVC surround sound system with my DLP tv which is about 10 feet away from my computer. I use some okay 2.1 speakers on my computer right now but i was wondering if there is anyway i can get my 5.1 surround sound to hook up to my computer too? so I can hear most of my music with surround sound and 800 watts of goodness.Tags: None

Bumping your own post is against the ToS, go read it.

To answer your question; yes there is. If you want true surround go get an audio card that has a digital coaxial or optical out. You could also always go buy a cord that transforms the lil jack into L/R audio jacks, but that is faked surround sound.Comment

shouldnt cost too much either... very easy to install too. unless you have a cheap motherboard with a soundcard thing already built in. i think youd just not use it at all. no way to truely uninstall that.Last edited by RubenDouglas; 08-23-2006, 03:01 PM.Comment
