Re: The Angriest Cities In America
Someone with average skills according to NYC standards has above-average skills elsewhere. For a New Yorker, it's so much easier to find a job in Anywhere, USA. That's only because of the NYC grind. -
Re: The Angriest Cities In America
There's more people fighting for a job in a given field here than there are in Alabama. People with average skills tend to get lost in the shuffle. But if someone who got lost in the shuffle here then went somewhere else, with experience working in New York City...they'd have a better chance of landing a job they wanted.Last edited by JiggidyJames; 08-28-2006, 03:55 PM.xbl gamertag: jiggidyjames72Comment

No, all he's saying is that unless you're from New York, you are an inferior person in almost every category. You lack confidence, toughness, intelligence, and most importantly, Being-From-New-Yorkness.Comment

That seems to be right on. It's like this; For all you hillbillies in every other city other than NYC, if you get promoted from burger flipper to drive thru at a NYC Macdonald's, you can probably relocate to a small time city like Chicago, San Francisco or Los Angeles and run for mayor...and probably win.Comment

^@the both of you.
Unless you've lived here, worked here, paid bills here...you have no idea what it's like. There's not a city like it.
I could keep going, but I'd only continue to lower my standards to you out of towners.xbl gamertag: jiggidyjames72Comment

Re: The Angriest Cities In America
Statistically, this list may be valid, but realistically, I don't consider it to be.
Example: New Orleans isn't even on the list, and I would consider that to be one of, if not, the angriest places in America given the city's recent history in relation to the government's response dealing with it. The fact that the one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina is rapidily approaching just strengthens the argument for New Orleans being somewhere on the list.
If anything, I think this survey proves why surveys generally are worthless in determining any sort of expansive study that hopes to get results solely from numerical statistics; while ignoring reality entirely.Enjoy football? Enjoy Goal Line Blitz!Comment
