What a sad thing about Lester having cancer... I hope he beats it, and rises up even better... and I'm a Yankee fan.

I was a sit filler at this year's show. It was fun, but strange at the same time. The people in charge told us not to even look at anyone. That was kind of strange. Walking in front of the likes of Jessica Simpson and pretending they're not there was weird.

All in all, it was fun. Defenitely different from my other celebrity run-ins.

I was thinking the same thing.

Thats funny to me that Avenged Sevenfold won best new artist since they've been around for a long while. I never cared for them, but their older stuff is respectable. I saw their newest video one day when channel surfing and the song was awful. I didn't even know it was them until the graphic came on at the end and I was kind of surprised. I guess they wanted to sell more records or something.

Why's it called MTV when all it shows is reality TV and open forums (Though Pimp My Ride, Yo Momma and MTV Cribs are the good reality TV shows on MTV).

You get to go to any of the after parties? No Cosmo Kramer moments?

I was actually going to try. My plan was to somehow just attach myself to an entourage (I've done it before), but by the time it was over, I just wanted to get to my local watering hole to celebrate my friend's birthday. Just wanted to get back to reality, I suppose.

Well there is MTV 2, MTV rock, MTV hip hop channels that show music videos all day long... So techincally you are incorrect.
18-1 hell of a season regardless

I'm very happy for Panic! At the Disco... only 19 and they win the best Music Video award...

                    Co-sign... though I also enjoyed Beyonce's performance.

How does Panic win best video overall, yet not best group video, best rock video, or best new artist video?

That's a good point, do fans vote for the categories? If so, maybe there were so many rock fans they all ganged together and voted for Panic! for video of the year?

                          Re: VMAs

Maybe, but MTV has given rock the shaft lately. Nothing but rap, R&B, and lousy pop. I'm glad Avenged Sevenfold brought that up, and I think it was right before AFI won as well.

I agree with AFI as best rock video from the nominees.
