Re: Quentin Tarantino Presents "The Protector"
Donnie Yens best movie was Iron monkey (I like him as well) but Jet has a number of really good movies Fist of Legend, The New Shao lin, Tai chi Master, Once upon a time in china 1,2 and 3 and Hero. Tony Jaa is fun to look at but he doesn't hit me like Jet when Jet was younger. With all that being said, neither one of them can Touch Bruce "The Little Dragon" Lee, now that was the man!!Comment

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Quentin Tarantino Presents "The Protector"
What's up Jmood. Yeah, Iron Monkey is a all time classic! I remember When I first got it on 42nd street in Manhattan. They only had the english dub version and the kick was you couldn't read the damn english subtitles because the copies were all bootleg! You would get 3 movies for 25 dollars. This was before Jet or Donnie were known in the u.s. I have a copy of Iron Monkey in my Kung fu File. If you want another sleeper kung fu flick, check out Operation Scorpio(or the Scorpion King, the movie has two different names). Trust me you won't be dissappointed. Oyeah, and the Buddhist Fist, another sleeper that is off the hook.Comment

Ah yeah. Iron Monkey. Now that's a classic indeed. Tarantino had brought Iron Monkey to America recently, but I heard a lot of scenes and stuff were missing in it. If you can find one, it's best to get the original Chinese version of IM with English subtitles and/or English dubbing.
Don't forget to include In the Line of Duty 4 and Tiger Cage 2 among Donnie Yen's best. In fact, I'll put that fight scene with him and Michael Woods in the former movie among the best I've seen in a martial arts movie.
And for one of my sleepers starring Yen, check out High Voltage.

Re: Quentin Tarantino Presents "The Protector"
I saw the movie and trying to figure out of I really liked it or not, The camera angles and the fuzz effect of the screen at times was interesting just like the storyline. The action was great and all the different ways of breaking bones was good. But if Tony Jaa wants to become the next big thing after Jet Li and Jackie Chan...he needs to actually do some talking and not just a few sentences throughout the whole movie and I think he is lacking charisma at this point in time also. The DuCross Brothers: Sports Internet Talk Show

Re: Quentin Tarantino Presents "The Protector"
Its Capoeira and it is one of the most interesting martial arts out there. There was a movie that was based just off of that martial art and it was a good movie.
