    Quentin Tarantino Presents "The Protector"

Tony Jaa (Ong Bak) stars as Kham, a young fighter on a quest to regain his stolen elephant.

    Trailer

I've been waiting on this even before Tarantino put his "tag" on there, especially since I loved Ong Bak. Also, the soundtrack is by RZA.

By the way, what the hell is Tarantino up to? It feels like forever since Kill Bill came out.

I seen this a couple of months ago. The fights are good. There's a sequence where he goes through a whole building kicking arse and it's all in one take(no camera cuts). The story is "meh" but nobody is really watching the movie for that anyway.

There are two clips available here: link

I can't wait for this movie. I'll go by myself if I have to.

This doesn't have "Instant Replays" like Ong Bak, right?

The star looks awesome, is he the next Jet Li or something?

I've been looking forward to The Protector for a while. Here is a fight scene from this movie that I posted here a while back:

            Tony Jaa vs. Lateef Crowder

Next Jet Li, next Bruce Lee. I think he's been called both. I just hope he doesn't make those horrible Hollywood movies like Jet Li did.

Jet Li was awesome in Hero, another movie Tarantino brought to the states.

Yeah, but Hero was a movie that was made in Hong Kong, not Hollywood. Jet Li's American made movies have been pretty much terrible, although I have to admit I think Unleashed is pretty cool.

When I saw the trailer in the theater I thought it was one of those "turn off your cell phone" things.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Even though it sounds corny, I love the sneaker sound-effect when he's running up the glass.
