I would fly in...much easier for a single plane ticket and two/three day hotel and rental car, as opposed to bringing the whole familia.

Put this into action you Ohio locals!

An OS trip sounds like a great idea, too bad my mom wouldn't let a 17 (assuming the trip is after April of '07) year old go to Ohio by himself...

My best man's hometown is Terre Haute, and he used to raaaaaaaaaaaaaaave about the Point... I've wanted to get up there to check out the coasters, but I'm not in a position to now.... The wife doesn't ride coasters, and the kids are too young... Heck, we went to Carowinds this year, and all I did was walk around.... I'd love to go with a bunch of my OS brethren, though, that would be a hoot....

My best man's hometown is Terre Haute, and he used to raaaaaaaaaaaaaaave about the Point... I've wanted to get up there to check out the coasters, but I'm not in a position to now.... The wife doesn't ride coasters, and the kids are too young... Heck, we went to Carowinds this year, and all I did was walk around.... I'd love to go with a bunch of my OS brethren, though, that would be a hoot....

Carowinds is actually owned by the company that runs Cedar Point (Cedar Fair) now. It does look like a bit of a downer place other than Top Gun.

They had the concrete footers poured and the start of the support beams in place for this when I was at CP in July. The second launch at 70MPH in a tunnel sounds awesome. Interesting that this ride will be the third-most expensive ride in the park, yet only 105' tall...must be the whole new electrical line that they have to put in for this beast.

Carowinds is actually owned by the company that runs Cedar Point (Cedar Fair) now. It does look like a bit of a downer place other than Top Gun.

They own Kings Dominion too. I've been to Carowinds and KD, from what it sounds like, those two combined don't come close to Cedar Point.

The park is huge, capacity is a bitch, and the only coasters not worth it are Mean Streak, Corkscrew, Jr. Gemini, Cedar Creek Mine Ride and Woodstock Express. Mantis can be painful also. The rest are great.

I guess.... I enjoy myself for the most part, when I do go... I haven't been on the rides or anything, since it's been all about the kids... Food is hella expensive, but that's the case with just about any amusement park, save for Coney Island.

LOL. I didn't go to Cariowinds yet this year. Need to go though I guess for Scariowinds. I'd meet up with ya there, and maybe even get Greg Jones to come along!!!!!!!!

Dont forget maXXair and Skyhawk.......not coasters but very fun. Skyhawk could be longer though.
