Re: Voltron on DVD
I am planning to get it. I probably won't get it right away but it's something i've been looking forward to.
I haven't seen the show since I was a kid but since it was more closely tied to anime style then other japanese cartoon shows of the era I think it'll hold up well.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Voltron on DVD
yeah I don't that was a great cartoon. And I remember everything about it. When they couldn't find the key to the blue lion, because the mouse took it lol. Also how Swen got killed and the Princess took over the Blue Lion. Damn I guess having a photographic memory helps.Comment

Re: Voltron on DVD
Wow I just found out the Casey Kasem did the voice for Mark, the American version. Interesting. And Jason was done by my dads friend Ronnie Schell. That is a trip.
So was there two, I remember two version? One was called Gatchaman I think. It had the same character, but different names. Like Ken and Joe, was Mark and Jason.Last edited by Scottdau; 09-26-2006, 01:23 AM.Comment

Re: Voltron on DVD
Never mind found out.
Battle of the Planets was an adaption of an original Japanese cartoon - Kagaku Ninja Tai Gatchaman (Science Ninja Team Gatchaman) Basically, to make it appeal more to Western audiences they removed lots of the violence inherent in Japanese cartoons, and translated and simplified the story to make Battle of the Planets. An even later remake saw the series renamed to G-Force.Comment
