He is....IMDB shows Jeff Bridges cast in that role: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371746/

I was hoping to see the Mandarin...

There's a nice panoramic at the top and more of an original cover view of the various types at the bottom.

For a more expansive view, go to: http://www.samcci.comics.org/

You'll need to click on "Titles" and then choose I.M., Tales Of Suspense (or even any other title you want). It's a sick virtual collection. I'm not sure how he got away with this, but I don't think he's updated it for some time now.

On a related note. These aren't bad either: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbRh9...eature=related (related ones are all there for the clicking too)

I was never too much of a Marvel fan outside of Iron Man, but I'm gonna be all up in this one. And as far as Downey, I've gotta say, after seeing him more as Tony Stark, I've gotta say, I think he's gonna absolutely nail this character, the same way that Michael Keaton and Christian Bale nailed the Bruce Wayne character.

Like I've stated previously: Marvel has never had complete control over their character's movies, they had a partnership with a production house. This is the FIRST movie that THEY are calling the shots COMPLETELY. And to top it off, they have one hell of a director and writer(yes, I know he didn't write it. But having him there to catch things that can be made better is huge) in Jon Favreau.

And as far as Downey goes. The guy is one of the best actors of his generation by a long mile. Not to mention he fits the bill of Tony Stark completely. From the look down to the personal demons.

I can't agree about Michael Keaton and Batman....he wasn't that far removed from comedic roles to pull that off imo, but Bale has been the best fit. Always like Downey. My expectations going into the theatre for this one is will it feel like I'm watching a comic book come to life on the screen.....will it be fun? That's my bottom line.

I thought Keaton captured the "tortured" Bruce Wayne; always looking like he's lost in thought, absent-minded, even borderline crazy, like when he stepped to Jack Nicholson's Joker when he told him that story. I liked Bale better as the actual Batman; the way he was kicking arse showed a real "funk it" attitude.

I thought Tim Burton's Bruce Wayne was too flat of a character and the traits that were displayed on screen were traits I never really associated with Bruce Wayne from the comics. Yes, Bruce would be depressed and brood a little bit, but Keaton just seemed aloof the entire time and had no real assurance of himself.

This is an interview between an aussie guy and Robert Downey Jr. from Comic Con '07. The first 2 and a half minutes is the latest trailer so you can skep that. The interviewer's voice is a bit hard to hear but you can hear Downy clearly.

Heres a smudge painting I did for the new Iron Man movie, I changed the coloring and background effects to my own liking.

Keaton was fresh from "Clean And Sober" at the time of the announcement and it's pretty clear that he wouldn't have gotten the Batman gig if it wasn't for his acclaimed performance in a dramatic film. For some reason the Keaton performance reminds me of when Jerry Sienfield pretended to be dark and unfunny to an Asian lawyer hottie so George would have an inside track to her. I didn't think Keaton's performance was bad, it just help set the tone for the movie-dark, and DREARY.

Judging from this article I just read on msn.com, it appears that they're not going to delve into Tony Stark's battle with alcoholism.

Can live with that as it wasn't a big part of the comic character's storyline when he first came on the scene either.
