    No, an actual Tivo, not a DVR through the cable company. Some TV's are coming with built in units, but they are rather pricey.

    I think they have HD-VHS tapes now too, so that could be an option as well.

      I'm have to look into that. I'm going to miss "The Office" in HD.

        there is a site, I think it is attennaweb.org or somthing like that, that will tell you what type you need to pickup the channels in your area

          Jaybee, where did you find out that information? Do you have a link? That scares me a lot and I will have to go with Direct Tv if this is the case.

            Hey Rockin'-I was watching "Dateline's" "To Catch A Predator" series and there was a message at the bottom of the screen from the local affiliate WDSU saying if Cox Cable "does not meet fair terms" Cox will drop WDSU from their programming. At first I thought this was a "money contract" but it may have to do with bandwidth compromises, that lessen the HD picture quality. Anyone know anything about this?
