    Uh, no.

Yo La Tengo and Wilco are neither incredible nor Grammy worthy.

As someone who judges musical greatness based on the Grammy awards, I find it extremely difficult to believe you have heard songs by either Yo La Tengo or Wilco.

Wilco actually did receive a Grammy nomination by the way.

        Re: Jet - "Shine On"

I always thought of Jet as an Oasis clone, but with a decent splash of AC/DC thrown in, which really appealed to me. Looking forward to hearing the new album.

Yeah, you're right: They're both too good for the Grammys.

Which of their albums were below your lofty standards, and why? Did you think "A Ghost is Born" was worse or better than "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot," and why? And does "I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your A*s" match up to "I Can Hear the Heart Beating As One," as so many critics have said?

          Interested in your well-informed opinions.

P.S.: What did you think of "Being There?" The true bridge between Uncle Tupelo and the current Wilco sound?

          Take care,

Their singles from "Get Born" annoyed the **** out of me.

Funny enough about the comparisons to Oasis.

They brought in the guy who produced the latest Oasis record. Don't Believe The Truth or whatever it was called.

I dug their debut, not crazy about this one. I have to give it more time though.

Ha. That was posted on Rate Your Music last week. The review for Jet's first album is a great read as well.

I think Jet's new cd is better than their first.Yes they do sound a bit like Oasis in some spots but they also sound like a handfull of other groups as well. That doesnt make this a bad disc. Not many groups can go without sounding like someone else.

Late post, but I heard the first two singles off Jet's latest album "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is" and "Shine On". Both are great tunes. Shine On the single is a really good song, I been playing it over and over, good stuff.
