The movie "Anchorman" applauded his work too, but I didn't think he was funny at all in that movie. Steve Carell (Brick) made the movie tick.

Now my big issue, I don't understand why soccer is forced down our throats in this country right now. Why can we not realize our limitations and just give it up. There is no excuse, as much as I know people will come up with one, for losing to Ghana. Truthfully as an American I find that to be disgustingly embarassing. But nonetheless ESPN seems determined to force this down our throats until we give in.

Again with the loss to Ghana. I'm guessing you don't follow Soccer, but just because, as you stated in July, "Ghana is a 3rd world country", doesn't mean they should be losing to the USA. They have better players and are far more athletic.

I love reading your posts Mass, but you are flat out wrong on this one.

I know you didn't mean to, but you helped my make my point. Lets be honest, when it comes to athletes, Ghana does not outclass the US in any way shape or form. However, on the soccer pitch I will defer to you and agree that on that field they do outclass us, but why is that? Because we just don't care about soccer in this country, or perhaps better stated our athletes do not care about soccer. However ESPN does not realize this, and still forces it down our throat. Now I will admit that they are better than they were 5-6 years ago with the MLS, but it still seems that in the end soccer gets pushed more and more for no reason. Most of my hatred stems directly from the my perception that about 12-15 years ago both lacrosse and soccer were on the cusp of mainstream notriety, and ESPN chose soccer and not lacrosse. I know there have been college lacrosse programs at New Hampshire, Boston College, and Michigan State cut in the past 10 or so years, yet I have not heard of a single soccer program being cut at any school. I hold ESPN responsible, and moreso in 1998 when we lost to Iran. Perhaps Ghana does outclass us in soccer, but no amount of convincing will get me to believe this is the case with Iran. I really tried to get into soccer, but alas it was forced down my throat too much with too many diminishing returns from the US National team to care, and now because of the sport that got left behind I resent soccer.

You guys lost because of coaching and key players not stepping up (Donovan, Beasley).

Anyway, back on topic.

-Hockey at it's current form, is the most exciting sport to watch bar none. With the way the game is played and with shootout's, the action is so fast and unpredictable.

-I don't care what anyone says, Baseball players are the least athletic "athletes" in any sport. The fact that you can chew tabacco while playing the sport proves my point.

It still pales in comparison to college bball, IMO.

Maybe ESPN picked soccer because it is recognized as the world's most popular sport. I may be wrong, but I think lacrosse has more of a domestic following.

ESPN may have 'world domination' aspirations, thus making soccer a wiser sport to back.

There have actually been more people agreeing with me about Seinfeld(I think that's 3 or 4) than I thought. Woot.

-Golf is incredibly boring to watch. Seriously, the only time I watch Golf is if Tiger is going for a major and it's the final hole. Other than that...I'd rather watch paint dry.
