I disagree here, see in the US soccer is what, our 4th, 5th most popular sport? Most of our gifted athletes are taken up by other sports at a young age and never get into soccer.

Meanwhile, in places like Ghana, soccer is the only sport they play. Period. And most children there play it from a very young age. Sure, they have nowhere near the facilities we have, but they have a real interest in what they are doing and have a desire to play. Most kids here play alot of differents sports and tend to be unsure which they would like to continue playing.

The interest in soccer here is rising all the time but it will never catch up with the rest of the world, IMO. So I don't think we can expect to succeed in major tournaments until we sort out a better system for young players, so they can come through and play at a higher level when they're ready.

Family Guy is overrated. I have watched 7 or 8 episodes now and not once have I laughed. I just think the storylines are garbage and it's all been done before (Simpsons).

Futurama is very underrated. Better than the Simpsons even in it's prime IMO. And I was once a huge fan of that show.

Personally, on the whole rap thing:

1. Tupac was probably the best mainstream rapper from a rapping ability standpoint. And while he certainly wasn't a gangsta, he wasn't near as big of a poser as the non-Eazy NWA members, Game, Nas, and the rest. On another subject, that probably my favorite thing about Jeezy. At least if you're going to talk about selling drugs and such, actually do it.

2. Ready to Die was a great album and Life After Death had some great songs. Sure BIG may have fallen off, but he may have returned back to RtD.

3. Jay Z and Nas are the most overrated rappers ever (barring the 13-14 kids and Tupac deal). Illmatic and Reasonable Doubt are both in my top 5, with Illmatic being an almost unanimous choice as the best rap album ever by everyone. Howeverr, since then neither has had even a great album, with The Blueprint being the closest. I'm not sure why Mobb Deep gets such a bad rep for falling off yet Nas and Jay Z don't. Personally, of the mid 90s NY, the best career of the non-dead rappers (getting rid of BIG and Big L and others) is probably AZ.

4. If he had his modern production and money to get guest appearences, and his pre-getting shot ability to rap, 50 Cent would be able to put out a truely classic album. Hell, if he'd stop beefing with the best NY rappers, he'd be able to right now with proper guest appearences. Regaurdless of what people say, anyone will appear on an album for money (Nas is on Puff Daddy's new album).

5. If Game would stop name dropping and trying to get us to believe he's a gansta and blood, he'd be a very good rapper.

-Golf is incredibly boring to watch. Seriously, the only time I watch Golf is if Tiger is going for a major and it's the final hole. Other than that...I'd rather watch paint dry.

I preety much say the same about Baseball. I can preety much watch all the Blue Jays games, but no other team iterests me at all.

No!!!!

People want football to be America's pastime because it's easy on the attention span. Baseball requires attention to detail. Sometimes you have to watch an entire game until you see the defining moment when your team hero hits a walk off homerun to win the game.

There's nothing like playing catch.

No other team should interest you if you are a GOOD fan. The best way to tell if someone is NOT a fan (ironically) is if they keep watching the playoffs when their team is out of it.

I consider myself a huge NBA fan, better than most. I love my Spurs to death ever since I was 5. Let me tell you, when they are eliminated from going any further in the playoffs... NBA gets shut off. I don't pay attention to anymore of it, because I'll be honest... I couldn't care less if Phoenix, Dallas, Miami, or Cleveland won the championship... with my Spurs out... it DOESN'T MATTER anymore!

Baseball is behind the NFL, NBA, NCAA football, NCAA basketball, NASCAR, and golf in the sports world. Yes, everyone has their memories of little league, but that's about it.

Baseball is well ahead of nascar and golf. You're right on everything else.

That definitely makes you a 'fanatic.' But a "good" 'fan'... I don't see the correlation. You can love your team but still enjoy the sport... you just don't cheer for anyone.

People don't like watching baseball because it's boring and filled with endless formulas and stats. People like to act like their smarter or somehow have a higher attention span because they watch it but they really aren't special and baseball is just boring.

It depends where you live.

In Connecticut, even though we have no pro teams, and we have one of the best NCAA basketball programs, I think baseball is the biggest. Nobody here cares about the NBA or NASCAR and college football isn't all that big either. If you go to New York, Boston, or St. Louis, baseball is #1.

...and this is exactly why sports that cater to someone with the attention span of -2 seconds will continue to thrive in this day and age.

Baseball is boring to those that can not understand it's beauty. Unless I'm in your face, pushing you to the ground, flexing my biceps while dancing after scoring, I won't get anyone's attention.

That has nothing to do with it at least as far as I'm concerned. I've been to plenty of baseball games and while they are a lot more fun in person than on tv, the actual game just screams boredom. You see guys standing around for hours who do nothing on the field, hear people talk about the latest formula they've used to figure which pitcher is best against what situation, watching in between bats guys adjusting their helmets, gloves, take practice swings and then finally get around to hitting. Couple that with the long *** season and I just have no idea how anyone can stay awake or keep watching long enough to make it to the end.

Oh yeah, homeruns are boring, give me a good defensive Torii Hunter-type play over a homerun any day. I never got why people were so infatuated with homeruns. Once you've seen one you've seen them all.

...but you just keep proving my point. Things you don't understand, like the formulas you mention, are boring. People standing around...? The whole thing is based on a batter-pitcher situation, and once the ball is in play, then it becomes one of the most team-oriented sports you have. It's not about the "one on one" or the "iso" but about the TEAM.

You see that in other sports... but individuals excel better in other sports than baseball when it comes to a team's success.

It's cool, you're not the first, and you won't be the last, to find baseball boring. But I've always found those that do don't have the attention span nor the ability to appreciate it's mathematical beauty on the field.

And that's not even discussing the skill it takes...
