I can't believe this guy is going to make money off of basically confessing for those murders.

Those jurors should be even more ashamed of themselves.

      How freakin' pathetic.

Too bad there's Double Jeopardy laws. I'd love it if OJ basically confesses and everything is coroborated by evidence and his arse goes to jail. The sickening thing about all this? OJ knows that he can't go to jail for confessing now because the courts can't try him again.

The man is a total rat bastard and it sickens me that I actually liked the guy for a time.

What a country we live in. This guy is a living, breathing pile of feces. Just goes to show you what star power, money, and a bumbling police force can produce.

Also, anybody who was standing outside the courthouse and cheering after the verdict was read 10 years ago should be swiftly removed from our society. They shouldn't be allowed to breed offspring. These are the same people up in arms and protesting after the Duke lacrosse players were accused as savage rapists. Of course, evidence and facts mean nothing to these people. I mean, facts are not important when you have an agenda to take care of! Who cares about justice and accountability for one's actions when a point is ready to be made?

I better stop now, I am getting physically angry just thinking about this..

If he did not do it, and we all know he did, why would he come and and say how he would have done it? It makes no sense at all to me.

I know you're angry but cool down on the rhetoric and don't paint people with so broad a brush. At the time my mother didn't think OJ did it, does she deserve the wrath you just laid on every single person that had the same belief? Of course years later she know sees that OJ did it and wonders why she even thought he was innocent but that's the way it is.

I won't make the thread racial but I will put up a post on my blog dealing with the societal impact of that cheering section. Look for it either tonight or early tomorrow.

Plus you have to think about how things were back then. African Americans did not have the best luck in court. Just look at the Rodney King case. Sorry to bring race up.

Well-timed plug for your blog there.

Anywho, I'm willing to bet, given proximity to the proceedings, she wouldn't have been camping outside the courthouse participating in chants, acting hysterical, because a guy was acquitted.

We both know there are degrees to believing in a certain theory. I happen to think that people who behave like extremists in this case really serve no purpose in our society. They create a side show, circus mentality that distracts from the real issues at hand.

Not too certain, she's not a person that's prone to making her opinions well known but I think it was the revelation that the Jury basically was in cahoots to get OJ off and then the numerous reports of how bungled the LAPD evidence was. I think what swayed her the most was when Chris Darden and Marcia Clark made the talk show rounds and talked about how damning the evidence was and how the case was pretty much cut and dried but that a lot of the bungling on their part and the LAPD crippled them.

Well he's living in florida now, which I believe is a non-garnishment state? They can't touch the money he gets from this book. Especially since he has custody of his kids.

I doubt he'd write the book if he weren't going to profit off it. After all, he was only convicted of wrongful death in a civil court.

Believe me, its the last thing we need out here is to go over the entire OJ thing again. Why not write a book about how you were looking for the real killers? This is awful.

He gets 3.5 million though. Just wow. Seems like something will be on television as well.
