Me too-quite surprising-I just started watching "How I Met Your Mother" and he is obviously the total opposite.

Seems like a few people are making this move to just get slight attention. It's the in this this century. Man, this really makes me think. Trying not to say anything too insensitive on here so I'll end this post now.......

It may happen sooner than you think when George Clooney decides to come out of the closet. There's a reason why he lives in a secluded villa in Italy and you never hear of him being in a relationship with anybody. ( I'm not talking about meeting actresses for lunch, can anybody remember one female he has ever had a relationship with that wasn't just rumours) Gay guys tend to have alot of female friends which Clooney has in spades. No guy that good looking can go that long without being linked to anybody especially when he can have the pick of the litter.

It's the Rock Hudson syndrome since any admission by him could ruin his career and macho image but since he's going behind the camera more often his publicists will let him come out.

Just looked it up, because I know he has been with many beautiful women.

Sometimes I have a hard time seeing them the same afterwards when they play sleazy or overly macho guys on TV. It just seems like a stretch because you KNOW he hates what he is saying or doesn't agree at all with what he is saying. It would be like watching Bill Cosby do a gangster movie. It just doesn't feel right or seem believable.

I remember the general feeling on the two "Darrin's" on "Bewitched". The Dick York Darrin had chemistry with Samantha (E.Montgomery) while the Dick Sargeant Darrin did not. Of course Dick Sargeant was gay, and that probably had a lot to do with it, even though the viewing audience didn't have a clue he was gay. On Frasier, "Bulldog" played a womanizer, although he was openly gay, and it just didn't work.David Hyde Pierce (Niles)was also openly gay, but despite the character's effeminate qualities he actually had some hetrosexual sparks with Daphne. I think it does hurt the Barney character a bit.

LOL...its "in" to be gay? Really? Also, I've only seen two celebs recently come out of the closet...Lance Bass and Doogie. Doogie only did it because there were rumors to the contrary. Its like the Mike Piazza thing in reverse.

I do find it funny when People said Mike P and Jeff Garcia were gay. The next day they had playboy girlfriends!

I didn't know the "Bulldog" character on "Frasier" was gay until way into the show; in fact, it might have even been in syndication when I found out... I will admit, it altered my view of the character because it was so opposite from what I knew to be the truth.
