Blake Lewis and Chris Sligh are head and shoulders above the rest of the field right now. Those two guys are musicians who look comfortable on stage, sing with conviction, and know themselves as artists (as evidenced by their song choices). Everyone else looks like an amateur, among the guys. And Sanjaya....holy good god. I think that might be among the worst Idol performances I've ever heard.

Also, LOL @ the William Hung Hollywood Tans commercial. "She tans! She tans!"

I thought he did well singing except for the very first and last notes. Performance-wise, he's killin' em'.

Yeah that Chris Richards guy was damn good.

Maybe I was wrong about the men. We do have some pretty good male vocalists this year.

This girl Antonella has an ego problem of some sort it seems. First she figures she'll come out and perform a Celine Dion song (lol) and after the judges rightly put her in her place she compares her situation to Jennifer Hudson's(lmao). She seemed genuiinely surprised when Rndy told her it wasn't a good performance and the song was too big for her. She's a pretty girl for sure, but seriously needs to remember that she can't hold a candle to those two ladies.

Chris Sligh sounds great and I hope that we do see him in the finals. The dude has one things that some of the rest of the contestants are missing, charisma.

All in all, I think that Chris Sligh, Chris Richardson, and Blake Lewis are going to be the final guys.

Arizona's girl Jordin Sparks did a great job I thought. There are a lot of powerful singers in this group of girls, probably the most powerful group of girls i've seen on idol.

I'll take 04' over them all. Fantasia, Latoya London, Jennifer Hudson, Jasmine Trias, and Diana Degarmo (who I thought the worst of the 5). Pretty partial to the year Carrie Underwood won too, mainly because of Vonzell.

The top four girls in this competition (Lakisha, backup singer, Beyonce girl, and Sabrina) absolutely destroy any and all of the top ten guys. That performance of "My Funny Valentine" was up there was Fantasia's performance of "Summertime" from a few seasons ago. Totally impressive. And the Beyonce performance last night was also absolutely killer. The worst thing Randy could say about it is that it sounded like Beyonce. Lakisha was my favorite from last week and she played it relatively safe this week, but she's still got it. I think the one with the most selling power is the 19-year-old who sang the Beyonce song though. She's really got star power, imo.

Who should go tonight: Sanjaya and the tall black guy who sang Marvin Gaye, along with Antonella and the girl with the reddish hair. That scat performance last night was quite possibly one of the worst things I've ever heard.

Yeah that was a good year.....although I didn't think Jasmine Trias was very good. She stayed on for so long mainly because all of Hawaii was voting for her.

I thought Latoya London was the best of that group. I was very surprised when she was voted off.

With that said, there are some very good girls in this years event. LaKisha, Melinda Dolittle, the Sparks girl are all very good IMO.

I agree with. I do however hope the redhead can stay on for another week though. She has a lot of potential but I haven't seen her sing a song that fit's her since the initial auditions. She's like Sundance who up until the other night was riding the reaction from the first auditions. He's starting to get back into it now and I think she can too. Unfortunately, it may be too late, her performance was quite bad last night.

Nah she wasn't the greatest, but she was cute as hell, which is a selling point for me. I voted for that girl just to look at her every week, singing competition be damned. There aren't any like that for me this year.

Agreed! I loved her, along with the other girl (Camille?) who used to work at the Waffle House or whatever. Lots of eye candy that season. This year the pickings are pretty poor. It makes you appreciate artists like Christina Aguilera, who have mad singing skills and are extremely hot as well....

Melinda Doolittle (who was the best singer last night) is weird. She's got a HUGE face. She looks like Rocky Dennis with make-up.... her body is decent (although she keeps it covered pretty consistantly). She's the ultimate "Butter Face".

Damn, Rocky Dennis? That's pretty messed up man, lmao. Reminds me of when Family Guy parodied a scene fromt hat movie, where the blind girl was like "Just let me touch your face Rocky...oh...oh God...what is this, a tree?" She's not a butter face in my book though, there's a fairly good chance I wouldn't hit that. The girl from Savannah, is the only one I am feeling now, Antonella took herself out of the mix last night.
