I don't have a problem with Brandon being voted off. He did forget his words and as he stated, that's a cardinal sin for singers (great attitude when he got voted off as well). However, Sanjaya has no business still being on this show. I think next week will be the last week we see him....at least I hope so.

I still think LaKisha and Melinda are much better than everyone else. Jordan has been good and improving each week, but I still think LaKisha and Melinda are just that much better. Aside from those 3, the rest of the group is pretty average IMO.

I have a feeling Jordan will take it all. Melinda and Lakisha can sing but Jordan just seems more likeable and appealing.All three of them should be the last three, but you know one of them will go in a shocker episode. Happens every damn season.

I think part of it also with Sanjaya is that instead of dismissing him, America is starting to root for him. People want him to be good. Hell I hardly watched american idol the first 5 seasons and now in the 6th and suposive worst season, im even tuning in, curious each week as to how he'll do. He's turning into the underdog (especially with the Simon comments) and America loves an underdog.

I think Simon should play along with America a little bit on his comments, instead of putting him on blast, he could actually give a few props to him, to soften up some of the sympathetic Sanjaya voters.......... I bet if he did that, he'd be done for..........

Hey, it would be a nice conspiracy theory.........

Honestly, though, I thought last night was one of his better performances. That, however, could be like saying Oakland Raiders beating the Cardinals was one of Oakland's better performances.......... which technically speaking it was, but..........

Not to be an American Idol Snob or anything.... but this season has been just awful. 10 of the Top 12 would not have made it our of Hollywood in prior seasons. Has the talent just been too watered down? What the hell! Maybe they need to extend the age rules again.

I think the judges are really to blame this year. There's no way you can tell me the people they sent through were the best out of all the singers they heard. If they were, the producers need to send them more serious people and less freaks in the auditions. I knew the judges were screwing up in Hollwood week, though, when they brought in Antonella and this girl, Marissa, together. They made it dramatic that one was going on and the other was going home. They showed a clip of Marissa and she was really good. Guess who they chose instead?

So, I mainly blame the producers and the judges this year. Sundance, Sunjaya, Brandon, Gina, etc. None of them were impressive at all and the judges seemed to love them early on. Then, they criticized them for not being very good. They were never good, so why did they send them through just to criticize them? Again, surely out of the thousands of people that auditioned there were people better than Sundance, Sunjaya, and company.

I think Melinda is going to win. Her performances are way better than anyone else's. I just hope her after performance personality doesn't turn some people against her. Lakisha is good, but pretty generic. I can go to the store and buy 100 CDs of R&B female singers that do that same exact style of singing (and a lot of them do it better than Lakisha), so I like Melinda better. Her style isn't original either, but she really nails it. She's the only contestant that truly knows how to use her voice.

I concur. There are two great contestants, two solid ones (Edwards and Sparks), and everyone else is terrible. It's disappointing for me because there's almost no reason to watch for the next 8 weeks as the lousy people get voted off one by one. In years previous I looked forward to almost every contestant's performance as they continued to grow musically throughout the competition via the advice of the judges and guest stars. But this year, there's just nowhere for a lot of these people to go because they have no talent. Outside of those four contestants, I don't look forward to seeing anyone else perform every week.

My wife, who loves this show, actually did paperwork during Tuesday night's show because it was so lousy and uninspired. That speaks volumes about how bad these final 12 are this season.

Sanjaya is the buzz. I hate american idol and im tuning in pretty much to see how Sanjaya does, and hoping he does well. Admittingly some of it is sympathy because hes the underdog and because the judges have no business treating him like **** on national tv. Its not like hes rigging it himself. I should add I know hes not the best singer, but I still like him as a singer period. Hes got a little growing up to do and he can speak up a little more but he doesnt need a huge vocal range if hes trying to target the soothing, soul, rhythem type of music which he seems to nail well, in my opinion.

I was under the weather last night. Good thing I didn't watch the show or I think I would've gotten sicker. If Sanjaya by some miracle of fate wins this whole thing I think it'll be one of my "reasons never to trust voting in anything".

I'm sure he'll have some kind of novelty career like Will Hung did when this is all said and done.
