I honestly think Sanjaya is going to win and win pretty easily. I almost think that the show wants him to win now that's why the publicity is in full force for him. He may not be able to sing but he has more stage presence than all the others have combined and he's sure more likable than the rest. Win or lose it's pretty much a foregone conclusion he will be the most successful from this batch. He has the teenybopper fan base and that's a cash cow especially when his appeal ranges from white to black to Asian. He has charisma which will get him much farther than his limited vocal range.

I usually watch this show the 1st month just to see the losers auditioning but all his publicity got me to watch it last night. Sanjaya seems out there but so are half the celebrities. It doesn't really matter who's the best singer, that can be fixed in the recording studios and voice lessons. If Ashlee Simpson can do it, anybody can. Most pop singers can't hold a note to save thier life to begin with.

Besides the teenybopper vote, the fact that he pretty much laughs at any criticism from the arrogant judges, couldn't care less and pretty much ignores their advice and does what he wants scores him major points with voters who would love to stick it to Simon et al.

Not trying to take anything to that level.

I just think it's ridiculous that people think that one reason for voting for a contestant is better than another. Who cares why people vote? I would be voting for Antonella Barber and her amazing body or Clay Aiken for his!!! What's the difference? If people vote for Sanjaya to sabotage the show or just because they like him, I don't think Sanjaya cares either way...if anything, I'm sure he's all for those who are voting to "ruin" the show.

Either way, he's safe for the forseeable future and I can't wait to see his hair next week.

He's getting votes from people who hate the show, and because of everyone else on the show being either awful or ugly, there's nobody else getting votes.

Idol fans go through this every year, last year it was Kevin Covais...this year it's Weirdo Sanjay... there's not a chance in hell he will win. He'll probably be eliminated around the 7th or 8th person, much like Covais was.

Stage presence, charisma: Sanjaya. Does not compute. But as I said, that's just me. Those were some of the things that the judges have gotten on him about, his lack of those things. Yeah he came out of his shell a bit when he did the horrble performance of "You Really Got Me" but that was about it. He laughs when the judges tip toe around saying he sucks because he knows that's how he's staying on the show. As long as he's the worst, he will get plenty of votes.

Sanjaya is the biggest joke to have ever lasted this long on AI. I don't think anyone worse in the history of this show has lasted as long as he has.

Bo Bice was pretty craptacular, there's been others but I can't remember their names.

I actually thought Bo was pretty good. He had a good rocker voice IMO. Didn't like Constantine though. He seemed to force the rocker issue.

Chicken Little and John Stephens are probably the worst 2 I can recall that lasted far. Bucky Covington wasn't very good either, but I can't recall when he got voted off.

I also liked Bo because he was authentic. Nothing was forced with him and he wasn't trying to be some kind of pop star-ized version of the person he really was. Bo just performed and you could tell he was a rocker. Guys like Constantine, they constantly needed a big neon sign hanging over their head saying, "I AM A ROCKER!" That doesn't make you a rocker, sorry. Kind of like how songs with the word "funk" in their title are never funky. If the song is funky, it's funky. Telling us it's funky doesn't make it so.

Gina this season is kind of the same way. So focused on hitting us all over the head with her "rock grrl" persona that it completely gets in the way of her singing. And look, she toned the rocker thing down this week and actually sang a song, and it was her best performance yet. Loose the shtick Gina, it doesn't suit you.

I'm really starting to think that Sanjaya could win this competition now, which would pretty much ruin American Idol. If that happens, I wouldn't be surprised to see the judges introduce something like the Grease competition did this season where the judges can choose which member of the bottom 2 contestants they want to save each week.
