But isn't that just a reflection of our society? There isn't 24/7 monitoring anywhere here in our country.

Do we run around calling every bully in high school or one group that makes fun of another group a POS?

Hell, half this board laughed at people dressing up as a dead Steve Irwin for Halloween and that passed with little to no fanfare.

That's a great point. However bullies are bullies, and are usually pieces of sh__. I try to take things on a case by case basis, and in the case of those soldiers, I have to agree that my first reaction and actually my feeling still is that they are pieces for doing that.

This soldier was basically taunting little kids with water, that's not the same thing as making fun of skinheads.

Just to add one more bit of insight to all of this:

Those guys really shouldn't be tossing water to the Iraqi citizens at all (either handing it over with a smile on their face or teasing the kids) because then they come to expect it from every military vehicle that drives through those streets and that can possibly lead to unwanted events (e.g. large groups of people, kids swarming the streets when they come, etc.).

Like I said before I appreciate all who have served but I'm not going to "get over it" because you said so. When they do that running out on those fields, it's for recreation.
