That's capitalism my friend. I don't like outsourcing like any other Americans but I also don't believe the companies should not be allowed to outsource. We as Americans have to give the companies a real reason to not outsource, not expect our government to mandate it. For example, Dell had people complain about crap like this, a lot of customers in fact, and moved a good bit of their support back to the states.

Oh and as for me being harsh, it's not harsh to expect someone to do their job if they are getting paid. If your job is to speak English to another customer who needs assistance, then you better be able to do that. If you can't then you deserve the ridicule that this thread heaps upon you.

As for the comment about "well you learn to speak Hindi and try doing support in India" the other poster made, I would apply the same standards to myself. I would do my best to speak in their language and be able to communicate effectively. If I couldn't, I would expect to be fired...just as the guy in this clip should be.

The problem should be dealt with at the source. These individuals should not be "hired" if they can't formulate any signs of cognitive thought and express themselves clearly, regardless of their race or nationality.
