Plus Universal canceled the non combo releases of Dazed and Confused + Land of the Dead today. They didn't announce any other titles accept for Fletch and American Gangster, that has to tell you something.

I'm taking the blu ray plunge with the PS3. What's the first movie you'd reccommend?

I'd go with Blackhawk Down. It looks great but sounds even better especially if you own a nice theater system.

Yeah he was right, the movie was sweet. James Bond, with a bit of an edge to him. No longer the campy Roger Moore type character.

I'll get that, but I did like Roger though myself.

I'm to lazy to read all of these pages. I'm curious...what was the Warner announcement?
I just bought a HD-DVD player, and have the PS3 so I can watch Blu-ray.

Warner is Blu-ray only only now. They have a few HD-DVD's still coming, but in May, it ends.

                      Oh....thanks.

Another question I have is Transformers available in Blu-ray or only HD-DVD? My local Target only had it on HD-DVD.

Sunshine. The first movie to really use Blu-Ray technology to it's full extent in the menus.

Agreed. But I'm loving the current prices and gonna ride this horse into the sunset. I'm just not ready to fork over $400 the cheapest "future proofed" blu ray player, PS3.

There's 400+ movies on HD DVD, so even if no more HDDVD comes out that'll be plenty to hold me over til the PS3 comes down in price some.

I'm not mad that Warner Bros. went blu, but I am with the screw job they are giving the HD-DVD crowd while they are technically "still on board." The 3 week delay in releasing the HD-DVD versions and now "I Am Legend" is having blu ray exclusive content. I'll just save $15 and get the SD version and upconvert.

That is how I look at it as, the movies are in hidef.....so you won't be missing out on anything. Plus is HD DVD dies off, people will be dumping titles like last month for ultra cheap.
