Hangover cures?
Had a little to much fun last night and I was wondering is their any secret to help getting over a hangover...headache, gurgling stomach, sluggish feeling..you know the drill. All I want is a greasy cheeseburger, and the Tylenol hasnt kicked in yet?Tags: None -

Yeah, drinking water will sober you up quick. And believe it or not, eating some bread will too.
And as for your stomach issues, might as well take some Alka Seltzer pills and get it over with. Just make sure an available toilet is within walking distance away moments after you drink the water once they're diluted inside because they tend to work quickly.

Trust my advice on this one.
If you know you are going to drink one night, you drink as much gatorade or water you possibly can along with a small greasy dinner before you go out. Then pop in 4 vitamin C pills and I'll see you bright and early the next morning ready to play tackle football.
If you don't know you are going to drink and wind up doing it pretty hard: you do the same as above AFTER when you get home and then take two Exedrin migraine pills in the morning when you wake up and you'll be all good.Last edited by Guest; 12-12-2006, 04:54 PM.Comment

Re: Hangover cures?
I've heard the water drinking is good and I agree b/c of dehydration. But once I drank a ton of liqour and beer and then drank water the next day and had to go to work and I started buzzing heavy again. I don't know if the water dilluted the alcohol and restarted the flow in my bloodstream or what! It was freaky.
Anyway, one thing that always kills a good buzz is to play a FPS or tactical type of videogame. I have accidently killed more buzzes playing videogames than I can recall. So water, videogames, and the alka-seltzer will definetly make you puke, but you'll feel a hundred times better. I sometimes just try to throw up the next morning or that night (depends on how heavy I drank). I feel so much better. As for the headache, I haven't found a cure yet, but I'll try some of the recommendations in this thread.Favorite Sports Teams

Well...fishepa informed of Gatorade. It usually works pretty well.
However, the cure to alcohol poisoning(which I have had before and it SUCKS), is drinking alot of water and eating alot of bread quickly. The bread will soak up the alcohol. Not sure what the water does lol.Twitter

Re: Hangover cures?
I never found plain water to do anything for my hangovers. I drank two gallons once and still felt like crap.
Things that help me are:
A) green tea, I usually put two packets in one mug
B) Greasy food, depending on how bad the hangover is. If it's an awful hangover I don't eat anything. Pizza was the usual choice for me.
C) Going for a run, etc. "Sweating it out." Again, depending on how bad the hang over is. If you can't get outta bed you obviously aren't going for a run."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
