Biggest snub.... where is Jaimie Pressley for "My Name Is Earl"? Funniest thing on TV right now.

Nothing to The Shield either... I thought Forest Whitaker was a shoe in to be nominated for supporting actor.

Glad to see "Thank you for Not Smoking" get some love. Great movie.

Not a single nomination for "The Wire," which is the best show on TV and has been for at least two or three years? Hello?

      What a joke.

Hooray! My favorite time of year! That's when awards are given to movies that aren't seen by anybody accept 27 critics and a german shepherd.

U dont think you have to worry about The Wire, HBO just didn't turn anything in yet. Since the last season wont be shown till the very end of 07 or probably 08 they may just be timing stuff to give it hype for the next/final season.

That is one bad year for movies right there, folks. And studios actually wonder why theater attendance is flagging lately. Gee, maybe it's because the movies aren't good.

And totally agreed on the Wire. The fact that this show continues to fly under the radar while a show like Big Love receives recognition on the same network is criminal.

Also, if Assleck beats out Nicholson, Pitt or Wahlberg for Best Supporting Actor, there should be a federal investigation.

Usually I'd agree, but he was pretty good in Hollywoodland. As for the rest, if Sasha wins do you think he accepts the award as Borat?

I'm a sucker for award shows so I'll be watching this one.

Hopefully "The Departed" brings in some awards, as it should. What a great freakin movie.

I agree with EG on the Shield, though. Forest should've been nominated for best supporting actor, and even Michael Chiklis could've been nominated for best actor.

Out of curiosity, how many of those movies have you seen? And don't say that you didn't see them because the previews weren't interesting, because that does not constitute seeing or judging a movie.

And as for Affleck, he was quite impressive in Hollywoodland.
Overall satisfaction also makes the decline!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. I'm glad to see that it got nominated, though I don't hold out much hope that it will win.

I'd say that was either my second or third favorite movie of the year behind The Departed and POTC 2... Yeah that's right, POTC 2.

I'm surprised "Over the Hedge" wasn't nominated in the animated category. I really enjoyed that movie.
