Btw, something interesting about the ending THIS IS NOT A SPOILER.

When he and his son are walking down the street talking and they pass a big black guy with a bald head wearing a suit, Smith turns and looks at him like he knows him. Well, that is the ACTUAL Chris Gardner.

Nice touch.

What would be really funny is if the real Linda (Gardner's girl), was following him and cursing at him "you portrayed me to be a giant bitch!"

I'm just curious if there is a reason the movie is called "The Persuit of HappYness"

Happiness is spelled with an i not a y..and it is bothering me everytime I see the name of the movie as to why they spelled it that way.

With that said it does look good and I am planning to see it.

One thing I noticed and don't ask me why. But when Chris first starts working at the place as an intern. Didn't know that...I wondered why Will Smith looked at him that way, but didn't put much thought into it.

I couldn't figure that one either. I'm honestly laughing cause the dude caught my eye too. I was like, "Man, that's a nice big black brother dressed all nice. I wonder how long he's being doing the 'Wall Street' thing." I loved the movie. Didn't want to see it in theaters at first but man it was good. I almost teared up a bit various times. I could feel his pain and his situation seeing that I'm struggling a bit and I want to give more to those around me. Man, his wife......I wonder how she feels. I wonder if she watched the movie. And man, I love how great the chemistry was with the two Smiths. Will deserves an oscar. I don't freaking go to the movies anymore, but I had to for that one. Man, Will has done some great movies. That guy is money. Anyone that can see it, needs to already have seen it......

Will Smith’s finest performance. You could feel the pain he was going through just by looking at his face during certain scenes. I almost broke down during the train/bathroom scene. Another scene that stood out was near the end in the boardroom. The reaction on his face was more powerful than words. I was also impressed with Jaden Smith. The father and son duo had great chemistry on screen.

But because this was a Hollywood movie, the writers/producers left out all the negatives about Chris Gardner. Gardner actually cheated on his wife but it was never mentioned in the film.

The best film I’ve seen in 2007 so far.

Grade: B+

Wow, just saw this.....GREAT movie. I was waiting until it came out on DVD and I must say it wouldn't be worth the wait.

See, I liked how he looked in the bathroom. It was like the lowest and highest point of his life. Didn't know that dude cheated on his wife. I definitely need to read the book. I was thinking the female was just grimy for walking out on her husband and son. I was wondering why she was so upset at him. It couldn't only be the money but it sure does make certain females turn on you. Honestly, I hate when movies leave out those important things that could really clarify situations. It's all good though.
