EA had 2 bad games. People are acting as if they are a POS company now.

people need to realize that just because NBA and NFL ea games are crap, doesn't mean the entire companies games are as well.

Don't even want to get into this argument, but it's more than 2 bad games. How did they come up with just two bad games? The games were perfect the previous years with no flaws or bad implementations and had a gigantic drop off this year? It's a trend that many have seen and experienced. It's a whole argument guy.......

EA is costing on reputation and this doesn't surprise me one bit. It's still somewhat disturbing that a company based on reputation and name value alone are seeing record profits because of the gullibility of the average gamer.

I really really really hate next gen madden and ncaa.

WHERES THE ****ING STRIP BUTTON ON NCAA.

AND I HATE THE CONTROL SCHEME WITH TURBOS ON TOP.

Atleast I have my XBOX for NCAA and 2k5.

ALSO, another thing wheres the ****ing MULTIPLAYER DYNASTIES IN NHL AND MARCH MADNESS. Not to mention EA CANADA was to lazy to put them in MVP before they lost that license.

Talking about this gets me so pissed.

Bottom line is EA has put their money in exclusives. NFL, Tiger, Fifa, The Godfather, etc. etc.

They feel these licenses will give them the upperhand in trying to sell their product. If you have the name brand of The Godfater etc., your game is already above others in appeal.

That's where ther money is. It's definately not in trying to develop unique games that take advantage of these next-generation systems.

Just like movie licensed games typically suck, EA Sports seems like it is trying to follow suit with sport licensed games!

Hopefully, in 2012 this will all be a bad memory... and I'll be enjoying video game football once again. I have already found a superior NBA game....

It's not just Madden and Live that are subpar. NCAA was a disappointment. Fifa is getting getting better, but that's not saying much given the ridiculously low expectations it has established over the years. From the day or so I played March Madness, it was an improvement in graphics, atmosphere and all the extra things, but the gameplay still left a lot to be desired. And Fight Night hasn't really improved anything outside of graphics in the last couple years. The parry/counter system is borderline ********. I guess the biggest thing is that I just haven't had as much fun with those games as I used to have.

On the bright side, I thought NHL 07 was pretty fun. And while I don't play golf games, from everything I've heard, TW07 is good as well. I also enjoyed MVP baseball before that went away.

NCAA might be a disappointment in your eyes, but I loved it and think it's the best version. NHL 07 and Fifa 07 are also both great.

Every EA Sports game on Next Gen Consoles has sucked, the only one that was even remotely playable was NHL 07.

What they did to NCAA and Madden is beyond comprehension. With those current engines I dont see an end in sight.

Strongly disagree. FightNight 3 is a very good game, whether it qualifies as a sim or not.

How come? No ranking, same A.I. tendencies across the board, most shallow career mode, the excessive punching with no negative outcome like fatigue.....this one seems far behind. People who can cheese without really understanding the gamereally kill the mojo. I think it's the freaking influx of "casual" gamers who are holding these things in mediocrity. Too many people allowing these games to just come out without really acknowledging any lack of effort to advance.

EA is definitely on the decline. Their games seem to get worse each year. I now buy more 2K games than EA games. And lest anyone forget, i'm the original EA "fanboy".

I bought every madden, NBA live, NHL, and NCAA from genesis up. Thats alot of cash and now im getting more depressed about this subject.

Well, yeah, that's simply because they are building new engines from the ground up.

There is no reason AT ALL that the next-gen version should have less teams. That is laziness and greediness on EA's part. That's why I can't stand them anymore. Too bad they are the only game in town for NCAA football...

Not true, Tiger 07 is a good game on the 360.

Compared to what?
IMO,a 3+ year old game of Links still plays a better game of golf.
But that is for another discussion.

I will probably get bashed for saying this, but I really enjoy Madden on my PS3. It is a great game to play. I also think it is making improvements as time goes, although I will admit they are small ones. But then again, I dont really look for a flawless game every year. EVERY game will have it's bugs and glitches, and EVERY game will have it's critics saying "they should have done this or that" or "this could have been done better" the fact is IT IS A VIDEO GAME!! If you are worried about spending $60 once or twice a year on your favorite sports game you may have bigger issues to worry about.
