Re: Anyone here listen to Howard Stern?
I gave Stern a shot when he was briefly on the Toronto market. As I remember there was a 2 minute tape delay because the CRTC was freaking out over him going over the line. Anywho, I listened to the show and while it was funny at times he just seem to sound tired and spent. I'm sure he's rejuvenated a bit now that he's on sirius but at the time I was listening to him he definitely had David Letterman Syndrome*.
* Meaning he'd have his good days and bad days, coast on his past reputation and more or less be a shadow of his former self. (at least dave is still a great interviewer)Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I watched when he was on E!.
I don't really listen to the radio much and I don't have Sirius.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: Anyone here listen to Howard Stern?
the prank calls that are prerecorded from the studio's side has got to be comedy at it's finest. My favorite one was when the had Artie call in sick to a deli-remember that one?ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment

Re: Anyone here listen to Howard Stern?
No Downy wasn't a class act, but that doesn't change the fact that Howard was willing to go to "maggot level" to appear more "edgy" for his fans. I guess he was joking, but there are actually things you don't joke about. I saw the TV version of his show a handful of times on E, and found it to be 1% irreverent, 99% brainless. That being said, I have never listened to him on Sirius.Comment

Re: Anyone here listen to Howard Stern?
Anyway, between Crazy Alice, Riley Martin, the new guy Bigfoot, Richard and Sal, Fred's sound effects, Robin's eletist, know-it-all attitude, Baba-Booey being Baba-Booey, and Howard being the insecure leader of them all just adds up to some harmless entertainment. But I again admit to shutting it off at times. Too much of a good thing isn't always good.
And for those of you that listen now - I really don't listen on Fridays anymore when they just replay those classic shows. We've heard all that stuff already, it was funny at the time but it's just not interesting anymore, at least not to me and some of my buddies who listen. I'd like to have the Friday Show back with John Hein and Ralph and the rest, that was decent.Comment

Re: Anyone here listen to Howard Stern?
I love it. I listen a few times a week, but not quite everyday. And I don't feel sorry for Eric the Midget, Beetlejuice, etc etc. They appear on the show on their own free will and they know what they are getting themselves into.PS4: aBayBates
