I like the fact that they do different things each show, & actually talk about current events & such, rather than the same "let's bring in this naked chick & talk" routine.. on top of it, they dont need a "Recap of the show you just heard" show...

I listen to Stern every single day as well as Bubba and Ferrall too. The prank phone calls, Artie, and the wack packers make it worth listening to IMO. I'd just love to figure out how to record it to my computer so I could throw it on my IPOD and listen at work. I wish Sirius allowed you to download the shows with your online username and password.

I've never been much of an O/A fan, but then again I haven't heard them a great deal. I'm sure if I had XM, I'd probably love them as well. I'm just glad I don't have to listen to the Howard/O&A ripoff artist Mancow ever again.

Did you listen to Ferrall the other night when Jack Arute was on there? I was shocked to hear him act like that. Dropping F bombs, talking about beating his meat, it was hilarious. Somebody said something about Erin Andrews and he said stupid, just stupid, all those girls are nothing buy eye candy, if I had tits and a$$, I could do that too... I was rolling.

Howard is very hit or miss to me. SOmetimes he's a riot, sometimes he bores me. I used to listen to Opie and Anthony but i dont have XM.

only thing i really dont understand is how "Buffalo" Bubba is on Stern's channel... he basically went off on Stern back on his "free radio" show..

LOL, yeah. That's a classic. Some of the recent ones have been great. I loved when they called into that Chess chick's show. Also, when they pranked a woman that was selling a washer, fur coat, etc. They had 3 guys talking at once. Then there's Richard calling the woman from the rock concert. The crowd screaming into the phone. He ends up calling her back, saying he crawled behind the stage where it's quiet. As the woman starts talking, the band starts playing. Good stuff.

Ditto... I stopped listening to his show on free radio a long time ago. Gave him another shot on Sirius and I think it's hilarious. Certainly makes the work day go faster, and listening via the internet rules.

The prank calls are also my favorite... i'm hoping for some new Riley Martin calls!

                  1) They don't have a hole (what O&A refer to the woman on the morning shows that don't add anything, they just try to balance out the "wacky" antics of the male hosts with amusing antidotes as, "Oh you guys!", etc; aka Robin)

                  2) Lil Jimmy Norton

Also they've been having Louis CK on a good amount lately who has got to be one of my favorite comics. Listening to him on the XM portion of the show has to be some of the funniest radio I've ever heard.

And on topic, I used to listen to Stern and I loved his show, that was until he went into his near year long FCC whinefest before going to Sirius and it was just brutal. Plus I've been a big O&A fan and already had XM, so I didn't really see the point in buying Sirius as well. I did try out the Sirius online portion when Howard had his 1 week free trial, and it was pretty good, but it was like extra to listen to Howard online to go along with the normal costs of Sirius online, or did I just see that wrong?

I think you saw it wrong, it's not extra to listen to Howard. He's on the SIR (sirius internet radio), both of his channels are actually.

I never understood what the point is of bringing in naked chicks and such to a radio show were. Its like watching a music concert on tv with no sound.

Hmm, yeah, looks like I did. I might have to check that out again, although for 12.95 a month, I might as well just get a Sirius unit.

Howard met with Bubba well before the move to Sirius and he knew that he had been out of a job for a long time due to his problems with the FCC and offered him the afternoon shift on Howard 101, Even though Bubba slammed Howard on free radio, Howard thought he did great radio and hired him. Bubba is being groomed to take over once Howard leaves the channel.

I listened to a bit of O&A this morning and enjoyed it. What's the cheapest option to be able to listen to them? I don't want another radio to clutter up my car, but would love to be able to listen to them as well as Howard.

hopefully they are on a "free" radio station in your neck of the woods .. they do a show from 6a-9a that is both on free radio & xm, & the last 2 hrs on xm alone..

Yeah, if O&A aren't on a free station near you, XM online is 6.99 a month. Also, you can buy their shows off of Audible for like 3 bucks a pop, but at that rate, you might as well get XM online. Plus at their site, opieandanthony.com they have links to bits they have done in the past. Same, you can go to YouTube and search for them. They put tons of videos up there as well.

I was never able to listen to Stern, either he didn't have a station in my area and if he did I had no idea about it. I used to love to watch his show on E. Sice I got Sirius a few weeks ago, I have listened to Howard 100 and 101 daily. I forgot how much I enjoyed it.
