You're not supposed to. It's TV.

And Tommy didn't give up the girlfriend in his deal with God. God took her away from him without Tommy knowing.

    But, it's just a metaphor.

"Where the hell did you come from?"
"I was here the whole time. Don't worry. Lips sealed."
    "Did you buy that beer?"
    "Yea...no. I will."

Or however it went. Great exchange.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

There we go. Metaphor. Thats the word I was looking for. I couldn't figure out how to describe it, but you did.

They aren't the head of a crime family. They are obviously very rough around the edges and amaturish. Right now it's more about a group of brothers who are evolving into a more organized life of crime.

That's how I see it, anyway.

Yeah, I think of them as a group of brothers trying to clean up the mess that they got themselves into. Which, in turn, is leading them to organized crime.

I'm really liking this show thus far. I was a little behind and just got around to watching episode #2 last night with #3 recorded. I KNEW I recognized the character that plays Jimmy, then I looked on imdb and he was in the Sandlot. I'm hooked. I love the show, love the writing (we knew that would be solid with their background) and plus Jenny has some girl next door eye candy going on.

Have to agree. This show is beyond solid.

I'm somewhat surprised the show is not getting much talk around here. I'm really impressed with it.

It's probably one of the, if not the best show on TV right now.

I love it. It's not on the same level as Lost, but it's close. Sad the season is already half over

I like it as well. I think I'd like it better if it were on HBO or FX.

Yeah...I hear what you're saying there. There was one time last night where Huey's brother says something to Tommy and I'm thinking to myself, "He probably wouldn't have said it like that if it wasn't on NBC."

I haven't seen how it's doing in the ratings, but I hope it's doing well. I think this would be an excellent replacement for the Sopranos when the last season is over

                              Ratings are not too good.

                              Hovering around the 4.0/7 mark.

The good news about it is that NBC will hang with it longer than ABC, CBS, or Fox would since they're not doing so well as far as national rankings.
