Re: Hip Hop Heads: Top 10 Alive

      I hate Wayne...

1.) Nas -Arguably the best lyricist in the game right now.

2.) Joe Budden-Arguably the best lyricist in the game right now. Budden's got crazy punchlines and metaphors, a booming voice, a great flow and a ton of emotion in his music.

3.) Saigon-Also has good metaphors, one of the best flows I've ever heard.

      4.) Jay-Z-He's Jay-Z, 'nuff said.

5.) Eminem-I'd still say he's underrated. He's amazing when he's not doing those poprap songs, when he's rapping for real. Maybe the best flow I've ever heard.

6.) Chamillionaire-Also has a great flow, a very distinctive voice armed with punchlines. Also, oddly enough, he doesn't curse near as much as any other rapper on this list. Check out that mixtape on his site.

7.) Kanye West-I don't care if he's cocky and whatnot, he still has great music, great production, and original ideas. Both CDs from him were great, his first one was nearly flawless except for the crappy skits. Other than that virtually every track could have been released as a single.

8.) Royce Da 5'9-Very underrated, also has a great flow and good lyrics.

9.) Common-Another top 5 lyricist, real talk, his rhymes are full of his own ideas and opinions, some of which are eye-opening and leaves you awestruck like "wow, I never thought of it like that." Common could very well be the definition of music.

10.) Jadakiss-Yea, I know you guys are like "WTF!?" I don't care, this man can rap on any track. He can make anything sound good with his voice, even when his lyrics are a little off. I mean, he could be like "Yea, I stopped it and now I restart it/I'm going to the supermarket" and make you say "cotdang that was nasssssty!" He can rap on slow tracks, fast tracks, club songs, anything and instantly improve the song.

Yea, no West Coast rappers for me, I don't listen to much/enough West Coast rap mainly because I'm on the East Coast.

A true MC, y'all doing them regular degular dance songs
You losin' your teeth, moving like using Kevin Durant comb
      Royce da 5'9"

I don't think Joe is top 5 alive but he is very underrated. And he has enough material out to be able to judge his talent.

The internet has always been in love with Budden, Saigon, and Papoose....personally I don't see anything special in Papoose and Saigon, Budden may have potential to be better than average though

and I like Wayne for what he does, Carter II is fire
