The Geico commercials could d a whole lot. It can really expand. It could be a comedy that takes from realism from minority groups in America like homosexuals, African Americans, Hispanics, whatever else. Definitely could do something. It might get a little hard to bring originality to each show without recycling any type of jokes. There are shows that get shots at mediocrity. I say give it a chance. I hope it's a good laugh for my ipod.

I hope this show gets cancelled after the pilot. These writers need some new ideas instead of drawing from commercials or coming up with the same, boring, politically correct sitcoms that they keep coming out with.

The writers are the guys that write the commercials... they're not ABC writers to begin with.

IMO one of the great series of commercials in advertising history, but I don't know if they can do a sitcom out of it. I will definitely give it a chance though.

I agree that it could work, and I'm usually very pessimistic about these kind of premises. As with any show, of course, the writing will be the key. I think if the make it a cutting, satirical show that comments on the reality that even in 2007 humanity is still very primitive in our behavior and thinking, the show might do o.k.

If they make it slapstick with a lot of sophomoric jokes about wooly mammoth dung and stuff like that-then it will and should fail miserably.

Great point-I think occasionally they might have to go to "woolly mammoth dung" jokes for filler, but the less of that the better.
