Make sure wherever you go that they don't try to push Monster Cables on you. Their good cables, just way too over priced.

ACTUALLY, you can use composite (RWY) cables on a component connection as long as you matchup all of the colors. Component cables are identical to composite cables with the exception of the colors at the ends. The reason why component picture is better over those same cables is because you're using 3 cables to carry the video signal instead of 1.

Why waste money on S-Video cables, when you're not getting the best picture you can get? Component cables, or HDMI is your best bet Truth.

I was wondering the same. For another $5-10 he could have bought component cables.

actually the S video was more expensive and because I thought...if the composite wasn't working..I knew for a fact that SVideo would work because in my head component and composite are the same..I could have gotten component cables for 15 bucks...instead I spent 19 for S Video...I though S Video is better.........so I am wrong?

                  Sorry fellas

yes you are wrong. Components (red, blue and green) are better than S-Video. S-Video is better than composite (red, white and yellow).

You're wrong man. Heres the list of picture quality from highest to lowest.

                      HDMI
                      Component
                      S-Video
                      Composite

Doubt your TV has VGA, but if it does, then it's right up there with HDMI as far as being the highest quality picture you can get from your TV.

VGA is another type of cable that you could use. For your DVD player, component cables should be fine.

It can be used for your 360, but I only recommend buying the official MS brand.

VGA is the reason you are looking at OS right now. It connects your PC to your computer monitor as well. Well, actually you could be using DVI, but I'm guessing VGA.
