    RIP Richard Jeni

So far the only place i've seen reporting it is the Extra website ( http://extratv.warnerbros.com/ )

Extra has learned comedian Richard Jeni is dead from an apparent suicide. Sources tell Extra Jeni was in his West Hollywood, CA apartment. He had been scheduled to perform at the Chicago Improv tonight but cancelled several weeks ago.

Very very sad if indeed true he was hilarious...
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

      Well apparently it's true.

      R.I.P.

I thought he was a pretty darn good comedian and I thoroughly enjoyed what little i've seen of his work.

Damn, I heard this last night and hoped it wasn't true.

not to be a jerk but who?

R.I.P. though, it's horrible when anyone no matter who they are takes their own life.

To bad for his children (if he had any) family and friends.

I feel no pity for one who takes their own life.

Depression can do that to someone. Trust me I know what suicidal thoughts are like as I had them when I was battling depression. No attack on you dook but I hate it when people automatically judge those who take their lives. We don't know their life situations and what they've been through.

                (ok enough of that)

I remember a short lived syndicated show that Jeni did called Platypus man (not his HBO stand up specials) that was pretty entertaining. That's what i know him most for and also some small roles in some tv and movies.

Maybe so, I've never had that mind state. But if the guy had children, I can't feel sorry for him. Sorry.

If you do something like that to your little ones...

Yep I can relate when I was going through depression it sucked. I woundn't wish that in anybody. It controls you. I read that people that are depress rarely kill themselves. It is when they get on the meds and still having energy then they do it. That is the case of my friends dad. It sucks!

                              RIP Rich!
