I have to agree with eXperiment63 and go with
..the late Brad Delp of Boston along with

(For the 30 and over club......)

    Jimi Jamison of Survivor
    Steve Perry formerly of Journey
Donnie Van Zandt of 38 Special

I always thought Daryl Hall from Hall and Oates had great range and control....
...and I view Sammy Hagar as a great vocalist, too.
    Congratulations BUTLER BULL DOGS!

      Major bump.

One guy I've been enjoying a lot lately is Roy Orbison. The man's vocals were just outstanding.

Chris Cornell - Audioslave only - Awesome singer. Love his range and tone
Manyard James Keenan - Tool - Very unique with Tool
Myles Kennedy - Alter Bridge - Very good range and very clean
Raine Maida - Our Lady Peace - Awesome Falsetto
Matthew Bellamy - Muse - Very large range, clean voice
Mikeal Akerfeldt - Opeth - Very nice singing voice when using clean vocals
Anthony Kiedis - Red Hot Chili Peppers- Good control on later albums
Kurt Cobain - Nirvana - I don't think this one needs explaining
Serj Tankian - System of a Down - Impressive range. Love his tone and accent that occaisionaly shows up
Sonny Moore - From First to Last - Very emotional
Freddy Mercury - Queen - Huge range.

            Wait...

You like Cornell in Audioslave, but not in TOTD or Soundgarden?

Exactly. That's right. Waaay too much rasp for my liking. He got a bit cleaner for audioslave. And I don't like Soundgarden's sound too much anyway.

He also lost a great deal of power, range, and tone.

I haven't noticed too much loss except live and he was never that great there. Name some good soundgarden songs so that I can see for myself. I really like Audioslave's sound more than Soundgardens. It's more advanced. More Bass and Tom Morello. What's not to like about that.

Lol, I knew who you meant but the multiple errors there just had me scratching my head.

I prefer the rhythm section of 'Garden over Audioslave and Tom Morello's more of a novelty feature than anything else anymore.

                          Anyway try these:

                          Into the Void (Sealth)
                          Slaves & Bulldozers
                          Gun
                          Mailman
The Day I Tried to Live
                          Beyond the Wheel

I can understand if you don't enjoy his early banshee vocal parts, but its easy to hear that Cornell has lost his range and power from his Soundgarden days to the present.

Yeah. I had no idea how I did that. I was thinking Creed and Myles Kennedy and Maynard James Keenan at the same time. Too may thoughts.

Yeah. I hate the banshee screaming stuff. That just annoys me. The only reason that I like Audioslave more is because their more melodic and technical and Cornell got softer and actually started singing rather than screaming. I'll try those out. Thanks.

EDIT : Okay. I'm noticing the loss of power and range but it kind of did him good as far as the sound of vocals that I like. Soundgarden kind of sounds like a Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden type thing

EDIT #2 : I like the day I tried to live. The rest are okay. Wouldn't buy them though.
