Ive been hearing stuff like this a lot. That not many people see it (box numbers obviously show this) but the people who do see it find it to be a good movie.

Yeah I ended up watching it tonight. It was an alright movie, it showed a lot of the stuff swimmers go thru but they pushed the whites vs. black issue more than the actual swimming part. The technical stuff on swimming was really bad but it didnt go into my overall grade for the movie. Considering, "what i thought to be hype" for the movie, it def failed expectations from myself. But as a movie in itself it was probably a B+.

No interest in seeing it, but I've heard that the rival all-white school is basically based on Villanova.

im a swimmer and me and most of my teammates reaction to this movie was laughter, swimming does not translate into movies well, but it might help more black people interested in swimming which is good and there is a really good black swimmer now swimming for the united states, culllen jones i think is his name and he won a gold on one of the relays.

Cullen Jones will eventually break the 50 meter freestyle world record....but that beyond the point.

Great point rocker, swimming never really does. Its sad because its a tough sport, and it deserves a bit more pub. Id like to see a documentary following Michael Phelps for his chance at 8 golds, that would be interesting.
