Note to HBO/Cinemax- LET'S GET SOME VARIETY!!!

I have DishNetwork and All of the HBOs have basically been showing the same 10 movies for about 4 MONTHS now!

Let's see...my choices are....

Any of the 6 Star Wars movies (Which never get old IMO..I'm a fanboy).
Fever Pitch
Field of Dreams
Munich
Poseidon
Longford
Kicking and Screaming
Just Like Heaven
George Lopez's standup

And that's about it. I swear..Field of Dreams has been coming on regularly on the HBOs since N-O-V-E-M-B-E-R.

I'm really getting annoyed at the lack of variety on all of my movie channels.

Hell...tune into Cinemax at any hour of the day and I guarantee you V for Vendetta will be on.

Its too bad you cant order HBO by the day because I'd only have it on Sundays. Its really only worth having for its original series.

HBO is worthless when it comes to movies. As others have said, the only reason to have it is for the original series. Mine will be getting canceled after Sopranos ends. My 3 favorite shows on there were Deadwood, Rome and Sopranos and they're all ending. The new series that I might be interested in (the Scorsese/Wahlberg and A Song of Ice and Fire) won't start until at least 2008 so there's really no reason to keep it.

I echo camulos' statements. Without The Sopranos and sometimes boxing, I wouldn't be missing much on HBO. I can find most of what they show on Netflix.

Well there's one more season of The Wire left and Entourage will be around for awhile until one of the main 5 characters decides to leave. I"m sure they will be coming up with other great ones where you will be stuck to the show for 5 years.

That's what on-demand is for. Cinemax has roughly 30 movies in their on-demand section and about 25 or so in the HBO section. I can't remember the last time I actually watched a movie on HBO, Cinemax, or Starz when it came on.

Exactly, can't wait for April 8th. The show comes back on Easter Sunday.
