That isn't what most medical doctors say, in fact just two weeks ago in Parade magazine they say that studies have found cheat days, or at least a cheat meal, are critical to sustaining healthy eating and results in fewer "breakdowns" and the related guilt trips that accompany them.

As for my Saturday pizza eating sustaining my desire for pizza, that's not true at all because I'll always have desire for it, heck I have desire for it throughout the week as well, if I were to go without eating it for a month or two I seriously doubt it'd make me forget about it and how it tastes.

Yeah, even my grandma's cardiologist told her that, after two major heart attacks, she can have a slice of pizza or a cheeseburger every now and then...you just want to limit it to not being a regular staple in your diet.

Anyways, i've been involved in this fitness area long enough to know just about every thing someone says there is someone to refute it. So I tend to go with what the consensus is and as I said in my last post the consensus among doctors is that cheat days are something you should do to keep on track.

Does anyone know if you go to the store and buy like 95% lean meat and then make hamburger's out of it is the same as like a regular hamburger or cheeseburger?

And my favorite healthy foods are baked haddock, grilled bonelss chicken breast, baked chicken breast, and turkey breast.

Trying eatting more meals during the day with smaller portions. Lots of protein is good - egg whites, chicken and fish. Learn your good fats from your bad fats. Also, set goals for yourself - get a body fat percentage and then set a new goal for after summer. I always worry about waist size over weight. Are you working out? If not, start. It might take your body a bit to adjust to the new routine, but you will thank yourself in 2 weeks. Alot of the weight you've lost is probably water weight.

CHEAT DAYS ARE A MUST! If you're working our hard and eatting well, CHEAT DAYS won't have much of an impact on your body.

The leaner you can get it, the better, and when you're done cooking it, I usually put it on a napkin and then put napkins on it to dry it off. It is mostly going to be healthier in terms of it having lower cholesterol and fat. I use ground turkey instead which is even better but not to make hamburger or cheeseburger, I usually use it in chilis and other recipes and it works out nicely. I haven't tried making a hamburger out of it though to see how that is.

I just had some oatmeal with fruit for breakfast which is doctor recommended and surprisingly I forgot how good oatmeal w/fruit can actually be.

Grilled fish over rice can be good, as well as lean chicken.

Egg Whites rule. I go through 16 ounce container of All Whites a day. Half at breakfast with a serving of oatmeal and an apple and the other half before bed. 50 grams of protein but only 240 calories and no cholesterol or fat. I have tuna fish(with celery, onion and lettuce) on double fiber light wheat bread and an apple for lunch and chicken and veggies for dinner with a protein shake thrown in as a snack.

I have a friend whose mother makes a fried turkey burger with spinach and fetta cheese in it. She also fries it in water. Tastes very nice, though the ranch on top probably isn't as healthy lol.

CHICKEN!!! Definitely a staple for anyone into eating healthy or into "body building". There are just so many ways to prepare it you can't go wrong.

I usually change how I eat in waves... I will "bulk" for 8 weeks, and then "cut" for 4 weeks. I'm finishing up another successful cutting phase now. I will eat nothing but protein, healthy fats, and fibrous carbs (veggies) during they day. Then I will surround my afternoon workouts with carbs (usually rice or oatmeal). I picked up this diet off a bodybuilding website and it works GREAT. You have to be a little more strict then most diets, but every time i've done it i'm able to lose around 5-8 pounds in 4 weeks... so if you stick to it, IT WORKS! You get 1 "re-feed" day per week, so that both helps control your cravings and keeps your body out of starvation mode.

As for my favorite healthy chicken meal, I just mixed up some canned chicken breast and some chopped carrots, green peppers, and/or whatever raw veggies you like. I mix in some balsamic vinaigrette, or any other healthy salad dressing and i'm good to go. I bring one with me to work every day and eat half in the morning, half in the afternoon. The taste is great, and the veggies keep your stomach feeling filled up all day with very low calories.
                      LET'S GO FLYERS, YANKEES, DOLPHINS!!!

In the mornings I eat egg whites, blackbeans, wholewheat multi-grain toast, and a apple. This breakfast really keep the hunger away.

Over the last 6 weeks or so I have really cut down on my fast food. ( I cut soda's out first NFL weekend and haven't looked back) I mean I was eating fast food at least once a day ( I don't think there was a day during the week I didn't eat fast food) and sometimes twice a day. Since I've slowed down on it, I really don't crave it anymore.I loved Whataburger and I would eat there twice at week, I haven't been there in 6 weeks. I've been to Wendys three times (only times I've ate a burger) been to places like Long John's, Taco Bueno but mostly Subway, Schotlzsky's and Itilian food if I get fast food. I'm trying to think of good meals, but are not hard to make and not expensive. At least for breakfast and lunch (manily lunch) for breakfast I'll eat ceral and fruit or something, but for lunch I really don't have any idea's. I've got a few from reading here. I'm a little guy, 5'6" 155-160...but most of my wait is in my stomach. I'm trying to lose the "gut" and hit the gym. Any more ideas and or tips?
