I'd have to agree. I used to think Prison Break and Smallville were the best (well, I guess Smallville isn't the best, just my favorite), but everything in The Wire is perfect. The cast, the story, the character development. I'm dying to pick up the rest of the seasons on DVD now.

Clifton Powell, He's kinda typecasted always playing thugs but he still is underrated.

Anyway, here's my list:

Idris Elba: If you've seen the Wire you know it was a travesty for him (or the show for that matter) to not get an Emmy or something for his role as Stringer Bell. Now you talk about presence, he has loads.

Agreed. Anybody who questions Elba's ability and/or range -- see 'Sometimes in April'
