I don't get it. These are the types of messages my wife leaves me all the time. What's the big deal?

I've gone off way more than that on either of my two children (ages 13 and 8). But I guess I'm a bad father for doing so, people now a days are turning into to wimps with all this political correctness BS.

Teachers used to be able to dole out spankings to our kids if they were out of line in school, now, parents cant even spank their own kids for fear of being reported.

I hear this message as frustration from Baldwin due to the daughter being caught in the middle of this ugly divorce and the mom (Bassinger) probably telling the girl not to answer the cell, or turning it off altogether.

I sympathize with Baldwin, moms a wreck as well, and then put this private message out there.

I think I yelled at Kev (my son) 5 times worse than that for less, yet he is a straight A student in the LAUSD GATE program(Gifted program in Jr. High), is a Jr. Lifeguard, pop warner db, pony league ss/of, and is a good kid (ie: does not curse, not a bully, and very mature for his age.

People need to friggin relax.

Thank you. I had no problem with the tone. However, I had a problem with the pig part. I'm the father of a 9 month old girl, of course I haven't had to drop the parental hammer yet, but I know one day I'll have to. A parent's job is to be a parent, not their child's buddy. If more parents understood that, we wouldn't have as many rude little jagoffs running around these days.

I applaud your parenting and I'm quite sure your children will make you proud one day.

I am glad you said this. Obviously Baldwin's name calling was a bit over the top, but at least he sounds like he gives a damn about his daughter. I'm not sure the same can be said for a mother who would publicly humiliate her own child for the chance to get back at her ex-husband.

No matter how bad the kid originally felt her mother's actions made things much worse.
