I love the EVDO I didn't have on my Treo, but I could've gotten that in a 700w or p.

If this is anyone's first smartphone, then you don't know what you're missing. Palm (in both windows mobile and palm iterations) and Nokia (with its symbian-based operating system), simply do it better. Im waiting to try out the iPhone, and if that isn't up to snuff (and I suspect it wont be, I don't think I could handled outmoded EDGE data and Cingular/AT&T), then I will be going back to a Treo (and possibly Sprint if Verizon doesn't get their act together quickly) with the 755p officially announced today.

Ok, ok. I didn't list the quirks I have with the device.

    Things I absolutely hate:

    -The laggy button presses

-If I leave the phone on for around 2 weeks sometimes I have to reboot the phone. Oh! You don't realize your phone is frozen until you see that your date hasn't changed in the last day or two and you're not receiving calls.

-The extended battery doesn't allow my phone to fit my belt clip. Which forces me to live with charging the phone every 1 and half days.

-It wants to beep for every little phone function.

-There is no button to quickly shut it up when a phone call comes in.

-The vibration is louder than some ringtones. It's also VERY strong.

-IE still doesn't view flash sites.

-Lots of programs DO NOT have a File -> Exit option. This forces you to open the Task Manager (just like Windows) and force quit the application.

-The thumb scroll wheel is USELESS.

I see an iPhone in my future.

I agree I love my Treo 700w. I had a sidekick II and that was nice, but with T-mobile sevice being so bad out around my house I had to switch to something else. The phone is great, I can do it all on there. The mobile windows with all the office software is great for work. The battery life is really good to. I've had my phone go 3 days or so before it needed to be charged again. My only gripes are that I've lost about 3 stylus' and that sometimes it will freeze up on me. Neither one is a big deal, but they are small annoyances.
