There are ways to punish people without throwing them in jail, especially if they have no prior history. Jail should be the last option, and I dont see how jail was necessary in this case. but it doesnt suprise me that the court would be excessive and try to make an example out of this case. Well according to the article she's been caught driving drunk multiple times so she needs to go to jail before she kills someone.

This judge is a hero. I once saw him run into a burning building to save a puppy. I've also heard a story where an old lady's headlights quit on the highway at night. The judge slowed, turned on his brights, lit her way for over an hour to her exit...then turned around to drive back to his original destination. Truly heroic stuff. But this guy sentencing Paris to 45 days in jail has to be the most heroic thing he's ever done. He should be applauded.

The world would be a better place if we just stopped paying attention to her... I've seen numerous article stating that this might even INCREASE her "popularity". For the life of me, I have never seen someone with so little talent, so little to offer, get so much notoriety... The girl ain't even a good screw. I watched that garbage sex tape, and I wanted to kick her outta bed... No-talent attention whore.

My homeboy got 60 days for failing one drug test on probation.

That said, I may be alone on this, but personally, driving drunk in my opinion, should get a one year mandatory jail sentence, with more than one being a 5 year term.

if she was a nobody that had to work for their money, she would have been thrown in jail or punished by a fine many offenses ago. Violating probation isn't something most people would even brush off lightly like she did. The rich usually get treated special, so this is the only reason why a 45 day sentence is making the news.

At least Anne Nicole Smith was the Playmate of the Year, it isn't much but it is more than being the lucky sperm of a hotel heir.

Probation is basically giving you a second chance from your first indiscretion. On top of that the court probably considered the numerous private schools she was expelled from coupled with her inability to follow the most basic of instructions. Seriously she could have had a chauffeur take her everywhere, she had no right driving. As such she should be punished.

You aren't alone, I am all for ridiculously stringent DUI/DWI laws and punishments. I think if you get caught once, you lose your license for 1 year with none of the Cinderella License crap like we have in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Second offense, 10 year suspended license, 1 year in prison. Third offense, 10 years in prison, lifetime ban of your license. Fourth offense, life in prison.

Okay, so perhaps I am a little less harsh here, but if you injure someone while driving drunk, we start at step 3.

I think the funniest thing about this is how her mom has been so hysterical about this. I guess in her eyes her pampered spoiled million dollars inherited talentless little girl can do no wrong. She doesn't need to abide the law she's a hilton! So what if her license was suspended for driving under the influence, thats a stupid law anyway! I guess her publicist should be fired for not explaining how driving without a license is a bad thing. Stupid publicist! In her mind she probably thought the cop who pulled her over and had her sign that document was an adoring fan. I wonder how "hot" the prison scene will be. The simple life: Incarcerated!

I'm not surprised. This is the same woman who let her wear a thong to school in the 6th grade and wondered what the uproar was about when people started questioning it. And people wonder why the girl doesn't have a clue. Then she tries to blame it all on the publicist by saying,"Well he said my license wasn't suspended." Like who is he suppose to be.

Now I hear hear the Hiltons are calling in favors with politicians to get them to put on the pressure to get the sentence overturned. All I know is,if I lived in California and one of state representative from my district wasted his time with something like this,I'd start a petition to get the person recalled from office.

When she doesn't show up for jail, I wonder if FOX can do a cross promotion with A&E and get Dog the Bounty Hunter to go after her.

I'd rather they send Mike Vick's dogs after her.

Does anyone else still wish we had the old Roman Gladiator Arena to throw our criminals against lions?
