Man, I just recently heard about them. I downloaded thier studio album (Rising of the Tied) and the Green Lantern Mixtape (We Major) like two days ago, and they're both flames!

I'm really feeling Fort Minor, and the cool thing is, since I've never heard them before, they are both new albums to me. Feeling the guest spots from Lupe Fiasco, Common, Juelz, Ghostface, and Styles of Beyond.

Thing is, I wikipedia'd FM and found out that they only sold between 300-400k. Is that right? Linkin Park had white hot sucess, and these dudes can't even get platinum? Highly underrated group.

BTW, who is "Fort Minor" aside from Shinoda?

So far, I think this album is pretty tasty. It's completely different than their old stuff, which is good.

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !! That solo was HORRIBLE! People are going gaga googoo over that piece o crap? LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could play that solo after 4 months of playing guitar... he sat on one damn scale and trilled it over and over!

And oh yea... his guitar tone on that 'solo' SUCKS!

Overall though, I give the album a solid B+.

Good to hear. I was kinda hoping you would weigh in with your opinion cause you have pretty good taste in rock music IMO. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy at least some of the songs on this when I finally listen to it.

1. Nobody's going platinum now. Hell, JT and Akon have each had 3 top 2 singles and they have only gone double platinum.

2. FM had the Chamillionare syndrome, where your hit song blows up, but it's several months after the album drops, resulting in mediocre sales. Plus most people thought it was LP.

I loved the first 2 LP albums... this one sucks. They sound like every other pop emo rock band now, with occasional Chester screaming. I can't believe they cut out the shinoda rapping, thats what made them unique. Also, I dont know if its just me but the lyrics seem bitchier

Yeah, I never realized it before, but Shinoda's rapping was the best part of LP. Without even spitting full-blow raps, it feels like some of the songs I don't like on this album could have been saved with some simple "Caught in the undertow, just caught in the undertow" type lyrics from Mikey S. This album seems to disjointed I think. There's a rap track a couple hard rock tracks, lots of soft rock tracks, one blended track, and a bunch of solos, when this group sounds much better as a unit than when every individual tries to shine on their own.

that's exactly how I feel. They went from being a "unique" band to being what everyone else out now has been doing sonce LP vanished off the face of the earth.

This album is trash. I hate having to have a album "grow" on me, since it's either good or bad. It shows an album truely is ****.

Ya I wont lie its kind of growing on me... but its too emo. Some people would consider old LP "emo" but it really wasn't, for me it was pump up music I'd blast to get pumped.

It's political and emo... both genres I don't like.

I loved Linkin Park because it just sounded good; the fact that the lyrics were meaningless and they didn't show vast "musical talent" didnt matter to me. Their sound was awesome, and no one else was even in their genre.

It amazes me how people are calling them emo when all their songs are still pissed off at the man type songs. Their lyrical matter HAS NOT CHANGED! The only thing that changed, is their sound. So, they grew as musicians... that makes them emo?
