Kind of screwed up as a parent but I'll share.
A couple few years ago I was driving with my daughter and a spider started coming down via a web from the rear view mirror. About 2 seconds later the car was pulled over and I was standing outside with my daughter still in her car seat.
Daughter: "What's wrong?"
Me: "spider"
Daughter: "Come on I want to go home"
Me: "No way"

A few minutes later after my daughter couldn't see anything anywhere I did the last few miles in record fashion.

That's what I'm talking about! I have a similar story.. I was on my way to work and driving around the lake and out of nowhere I see a spider descend from its web and land on me. I pull over IMMEDIATELY, hop out my car and I bet it looked like I was doing the most ******** dance in history because I was moving to get that thing off of me.

I think I truly became scared of spiders was when I was little and staying out my great-grandparents for the summer. I went to get the mail like I did everyday after lunch and when I opened the mailbox there was a HUGE black spider with a yellow mark on its backside. It even lifted up at me. I shut that mailbox so quickly and took off into the house, scared to death.

And, even with all that every time Arachnophobia comes on television I can't help but to watch it.

I've seen that, and it reminded me of this lady I used to work with. She woke up one morning with a rash on her cheek that continued to get larger over the next couple of days. So, she went to the doctor and he told her that a spider laid eggs in her face while she was sleeping and they were growing!?!? I didnt know whether to believe her or not, but the next day she came in with a bandage on her face because they had to cut them out so they wouldnt spread or whatever. That was some sick ****!

I heard about that one too, but I heard about it under someone's tongue or something like that. I heard about roaches in someone's mouth too. I never knew those things were true. I'm not particularly scared of animals. I love to have spiders where I am because there were a bunch of mosquitos in the basement with me. They use to tear me up. Now, I have no fly problems period because the spiders made a massive amount of webs downstaris where the flies could spawn. Kind of reminds me of an online FPS or something where people just camp out and wait. So, how big are some of you guys who are scared of arachnoids??

A friend of mine had a similar ordeal but it was his leg...near the ankle...where the Spider laid eggs. The bump was slightly smaller than a golf ball and looked gross as hell. He said when the Doc had punctured it, a foul-a$$ smell was released.

Spiders are the only thing in the world that I have a legit phobia of. I see one or something and I'm screaming like a little bitch. It's quite sad really.

I'm the exact same way, and it is quite sad and you'd think after so many times you'd get over it but I just can't stand spiders.

This thread brings back a horrible memory for me, one night a couple years back I'm on my computer surfin the internet, talkin on AIM and I look down at the keyboard and theres this nastyass spider crawling on my keyboard, I freaked out majorly lol, that keyboard went flying.

Embarrassing, big time, but spiders I'm with you, legitimate phobia for me.
