                This is true. My wife used to work for Comcast in the Retention Department. She calls back all the time and get the 6 month special promotions discount.

                And he's also right about some reps won't give you anything. Just hang up and try to another rep and you might get lucky.

                    I have Adelphia... I believe...? I don't really care all that much about the service as long as it's not slow.

                                                I'm with Comcast. Only provider in Chicago that will allow me to get NBA League Pass, so i put up with their insane rates.

                                                        Cox Cable. I think it's $40 a month but only because we also have cable tv with them. Otherwise it would be $50 a month.
