Oh, and I changed your title too.
We read the first book in my class, the students love it. Also it was on tape. I forget the guys name who did the voices on the tape, but they were amazing. Also, we read the The Witch, The Lion and The Wardrobe on tape too. Michael York was the reader on those tapes, he was great too.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

It's Jim Dale, and he is insanely good. If any fans haven't heard the books on tape/CD, definitely pick them up. Jim Dale won a Grammy for the first book.

Yeah that his name he is great, so is Michael York with Narnia. My little thugs loved both books, it is funny to see this little gang bangers getting into the tapes. Even the murderers like the tapes. lol

I can't wait to go see this in theaters. I loved the first fours movies.

I tried to read some of the books, but I can't tolerate reading. I lose interest about ten minutes in. Reading is just too boring for me to handle.

WHOAMG! That trailer is insane. Can't wait until this hits the theaters. I've read every book, and loved each and every one of them. I even have a couple of them as e-books (actually didn't read TOOTP at first, but listened to it as an e-book last summer during VERY long bus rides to and from work)

That is the best Potter trailer so far..I'll think I'll go and watch it a couple more times..

I am 41 I like the books and the movies.

The original plan was to make Goblet into 2 movies, then the idiot director of Prisoner said that it was not nessesary. I know a lot of people think PoA is the best "movie", but I don't, I thought the book was so much better. I liked what they did with the first two movies, not so much the last two.

I will still see this though.

                      I'm the complete opposite.

Absolutely hated the first two, liked the 3rd movie, liked the 4th even more.

Why did you hate the first two, they actually stuck pretty close to the books?

I need to watch Goblet again, I know I liked it in the theater, just was disappointed with all that had to get cut. I really dislike Prisoner though.

I hated the first two books, so that probably has a lot to do it.

They are much more childish than the 5th and 6th were, and I expect the 5th and 6th movies to be very good.

The 3rd and 4th were sort of a transition, from the childish focus to a more adult focus, all my opinion of course, and I didn't really mind the movies. Just like I didn't mind the books.

So yeah...all that rambling basically just says: I disliked the 1st/2nd books - therefore hated the movies. Liked the 3rd/4th books - liked the movies. Hopefully since I loved the 5th book, I'll love the 5th movie.

I liked all the movies but the third one and am really looking forward to #5. As they have to cut more stuff out and simplify them down though the movies won't be nearly as good as the books (never are). I can't say I didn't like any of the books, but they have definitely gotten stronger as the series goes on IMO.

My wife and I went to the premier of HP and order of the phoenix last night and it was a damn good movie. My wife is a huge fan and said they did a great job keeping it fairly close to the books with only a few things being left out as you would expect i guess with any book to movie conversion. She said that they left out the bit about a centaur being a teacher and also that Gawp (Hagrid's giant brother) spoke in the book but didn't in the movie but otherwise she was very impressed and wants to see it again.

The security was pretty tight as they confiscated all of the phone's of all of the patrons and we had to get them back when the movie was over. I was surprised that the premier was out now because the film isn't being released to the public here (Australia) untill thursday and we got to see it on Monday. Not sure if it's true but one of the reps at the cinema told us that this was the 5th showing of the movie in the world which is pretty cool if it's true.

The movie was very dark throughout and definetley didn't feel like something based on a childrens book series. The special effects were awesome and the clash between Dumbledore and Voldermort was very cool to see! Special effects were outstanding and i think if you have liked the series so far you won't be dissapointed!

Great news Joensy! I love HP and I'll go see it probably Thursday.

I partially agree with Longhorn - movies #1 and #2 were truer to the books, but because those books were more childish, I didn't like them as much. Book #3 and movie #4 are my favorites, so far.
