That scene was really amaizng in IMAX 3d. Also the sound was unbelieveable, it was like a earthquake in the theater during the battle scenesComment

Saw it today. Very good flick. These movies just get darker and darker.

If steroid-freak AA can say there were some "teary" moments, I can agree with that.
There was one part that wasn't "teary" because it was sad, but because it was so cheesy that it felt motivational. When Harry was teaching everyone and they were all getting good...during his motivational speech.Comment

I just hope they make sure to get the Horcrux quest and end battle scene of book six right and don't leave out the conversations between Dumbledore/Malfoy and Harry/Snape.

I saw the movie last night and came away immensely disappointed. The last 30 minutes were great, as was the casting of Luna and Umbridge.
I just thought it moved way to fast, gave no context for the events in the movie nor was there any real plot development. I don't see how the longest book was made into the shortest movie.
Hopefully the DVD has an hour or so of deleted scenes!I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

Watching these movies and seeing how much gets cut out makes me appreciate the Lord of the Rings movies even more. I don't get why they make the movies so short. Like with Lord of The Rings, no one had a problem sitting through 3+ hours(well I did but I didn't like the movies and I never read the books). It just doesn't make sense to me to cut so much from the books just to keep the movies under 3 hours.
I get that Warner Bros. wants the kids to come, but the movies are still PG-13 (like LOTR) and as such WB is admitting the series has a wider audience. I agree with some of the cuts like a lot of the Quidditch, S.P.E.W., and a lot of expositionary dialogue...but other cuts are mindboggling.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

I was expecting Harry Potter to be the best sequel of the year beating out F4, Spidey 3 and Pirates 3.......however it wasnt up to par with what i was expecting.
The story started good but never really progressed that much. And the olny action came at the last 20 mins of the movie. I would put Goblet of Fire and Prisoner of Azkaban above this one. However with that being said i really liked the darker tone in the last movies
1. Goblet of Fire
2. Prisoner of Azkaban
3. Order of the Phoenix
