funny, even though now that I have the phone should have listened to a few on here, because the Iphone data sux big time on sprint. Like can't take it after one day...

By the way George, where are you going to mount your 111th Wii, 300th 360, 100 PS3 and or yeah cant for your 200th PSP....Talk about me, can;t wait to see how many Vista you mount......OH yeah and what new TV is next.......LMAO j/k man

Sprint 3g is garbage. Main reason I have no Iphone is because of the 3G

Best Iphone is on AT&T

Maybe Iphone 5 will have LTE

The phone is great thus far, but only on WIFI, cant stomach paying a bill a month for a great phone and Just terrible 3g speeds, come on now sprint its 3G for goodness sake. 3G should be mastered by now.

Dude, I don't think you've ever listened to people's advice on here about your compulsive electronic purchases.

I remember trying to offer you advice once on how all that money spent could be going back to your family... or savings... SOMETHING.

Did I not tell him. Hell I messed around with the 4S in a Sprint store and was unimpressed. I'm hearing it runs OK in Dallas-Ft. Worth where I am but I need my next phone to have LTE or 4G capability and if apple doesn't deliver that on next sprint iPhone I'll probably change carriers.

so if Sprint starts there LTYE next year does that mean that all users of a 4g phone have to buy a new one or will the LTE update work on all 4g Phones.

Hmmm yeah it is very few areas where Sprint has GOOD 3G, especially in the northeast. It was the same way with Verizon. That is why I eventually switched to At&t.

Now from my under standing, not all 4G phones are LTE compatible. Because I remember I had a friend who had one of the first generation 4G phones but she couldn't connect to LTE with it, so she had to buy another phone that was built for LTE.

Yes, there is a difference. Phones that are '4G' capable are basically running on HSPA(+). HSPA is faster than 3G, but obviously slower than LTE. I'm pretty sure, your phone would have to be capable of acquiring a LTE signal, so, no.

EDIT: And, sprint is trash. TRASH, and this is coming from a T-mobile user.

My 4S 3G speeds with Sprint are pretty bad too..

I was pulling far better speeds with my old Hero.

No, 4G phones will be supported through 2015. They just signed an extension with Clearwire to provide it. I'm not sure if they'll continue to roll out WiMax. I'm doing one of two things, waiting on the next iPhone hoping it has LTE, or buying a 4g phone used.
