The Turnbyturn is fantastic - I've been using it for a few months now.

But as far as widgets I don't think that is it. Mac OS had widgets waaaay back early on in the early years of OSX. It was in something called the "Dashboard." http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/

I don't know why they wouldn't want to just bring that over to iOS and utilize the empty space in Spotlight.



Even if it is a few button presses more, it's doable. Plus, toggles can easily be throwing in the notification center.

There are plenty ways to do it - they just haven't.

What do you have to do to get the BS $36 upgrade fee waived? Really, I have to pay a fee to have the right to buy a $200+ dollar phone and a $25/month data plan?

Call customer care and complain. That works a little bit of the time. Or go to your respective corporate store, but you probably won't get any lenience during a launch like this.

How does Apple STILL not have an easy way to toggle Bluetooth and WiFi on/off? Come on, man.

As a 4S owner, I really don't see much of a reason to upgrade. Bigger screen and LTE are nice, but nothing game-changing.

So if you want the iPhone 5, unless you pay full price (~$699 or so) you won't keep your unlimited.

This goes for ANY new handset, Droid people included. That's so lame.

That is true I talked to a friend of mine about that and he mentioned that Verizon requires you to pay full price.

There are several shortcuts that should be added to the notification bar - I shouldn't have to jailbreak in order to do so.

Nothing was a surprise but I've been waiting way too long to upgrade from this 4 and I'm glad that the September 21st rumor was correct since my lock/power button decided to break again a couple days ago.

Unless you pay the out right price, you have to change your plan. No matter where you get it.

Yup, looks like I'll be sticking with AT&T. Not that I mind, since the service is fine for me. Was hoping that I could jump on my parents' family plan and save a little, but looks like it would actually end up being more expensive for me to keep the same data limit (I'm grandfathered into AT&T's 2GB/month plan, which is plenty for me since I'm on wifi all the time).
