I just picked up a 3G IPhone. When I press the app store button, it says loading for about 1 minute and then says couldn't connect to app store. What could be causing this? Thanks.

How are you connected? Edge/3G/Wifi?

no, you should be able to access the app store on wi-fi and/or 3g. Is it still doing the same thing ??? I would try and re-boot your phone and try again.

It seems fine now. Since I am not going to be using the internet that often, should I disable 3G unless I am using the net? I assume leaving 3G on would drain the battery very quickly.

Someone tell me how the 3g is better than the original? besides faster internet, I got the 8gb in January and love it.

yeah, you can turn it off for longer battery life.

faster internet and GPS are the 2 biggest things on the new phone. I have the older model too and don't plan on upgrading until they release a 32gb one

yes, google maps now has location based off your cell tower position, but I was in Florida and google said I was near Pittsburgh.

I haven't looked into this much but is there a way to plug your earphones in to the older model and it to play out of the earphones and not the speakers?

Sorry if this is a stupid question which is highly likely, but the one time I tried it did not work.
