Sorry I'm late to the party but I ordered an iPhone 3GS last week and it's supposed to be in tomorrow and was skimming through this thread..

Can someone explain what the benefits of jailbreaking an iPhone are? Also if someone has a link to somewhere that shows how to do it would be helpful also.

I did the jailbreak last night and it was very easy. Haven't seen any must have apps on cydia, but I love that you can download themes. I have have the mac leopard theme on mine, it's beautiful.

have to have jailbreak your phone first

Add these sourcs to Cydia: Click on "manage", then "sources" then "edit" then "add"

Download the following in Cydia:
Winterboard
Lock Matte UI
Lock Screen Info
LI Matte Weather Plugin
LI Matte Quotes Plugin
Lockscreen Clock Hide

After you do this click on "settings" on your iphone and scroll down to "Lockinfo". THis is where you can put in your zip code for weather etc and sort the order on how you want everything on your lock screen.

Let me know if you get stuck and I will post back what to do. It's easier to do than it probably sounds.

Slugger is my favorite game right now. YOu can play online vs. another opponent which is very addicting.

Just got Crayon Physics (I know, kinda late..) but I really like it. Not big into puzzle games but this one is just easy to get into, fun to figure out, and best of all..you get to see how your design works..or fails.

Basically there is a ball, and a star on a blank sheet of paper. You have to draw a way for the ball to get to the star. Fight gravity, get over/around walls, make bridges...etc.

What issues have you been having RT?

I would assume it's only gotten worse as Apple continues to sell the 3GS like hotcakes... it's insane how fast it is selling. Everyone here in NYC has one. I swear I saw a couple of crackheads the other day pull out their iPhones and start listening to music.

My friend has the original iPhone on T-Mobile... their basic data seemed about as fast as our 3G network. Then again... the 3G here in NYC is so damn backed up...

It's a joy when I head to NJ since the speeds are much better there.
